In a perfect opportunity for revenge for the In-Season Tournament semifinal, the Milwaukee Bucks matched up against the Indiana Pacers. Giannis Antetokounmpo seized the moment, dropping a career-high 64 points and leading the Bucks to a 140-126 victory. Giannis delivered his highest-scoring performance of the season, shooting an impressive 20-28 from the field and securing 14 rebounds. Tari Eason’s mom bashes Giannis Antetokounmpo

While fans and the entire NBA world showered congratulations on Antetokounmpo for his monstrous game against the Pacers, Tari Eason’s mom expressed a different sentiment. Although she radiated appreciation for Antetokounmpo’s feat, she shared her playful disappointment. Posting a photo of Giannis on Twitter, she humorously blamed him for overshadowing her son’s night, writing, “Way to eclipse the biggest game of my sons career @Giannis_An34 you couldn’t just be normal tonight???🥺”

After securing a season-high 18 points in the previous game against the San Antonio Spurs, Tari Eason surpassed his record by scoring an impressive 25 points and grabbing 14 rebounds in the next game against the Memphis Grizzlies. Notably, he also led his team to victory.

Consequently, his mom’s commentary on Giannis stems from Giannis’ impeccable scoring outburst overshadowing his sons’ recent leaps.

Pacer and Bucks had a post-game battle around a ball

The action didn’t conclude with the final buzzer; it extended into a post-game scrum when Giannis Antetokounmpo sought to claim the game ball from his historic night. As the game concluded, Giannis believed that the Indiana Pacers had possession of the game ball. To retrieve it, he hastily ran into the Pacers’ hallway, only to return empty-handed. In a moment of fury, he was observed passionately conversing with Tyrese Haliburton, with Damian Lillard by his side.

Following the incident, several Bucks players converged in the Pacers’ hallway to address the matter. Furthermore, Giannis later asserted that the Pacers indeed had the game ball, expressing doubt about the legitimacy of the ball he possessed.

Traditionally, the Pacers acquire a game ball when a player scores their first NBA points. Acting in line with this tradition, Rick Carlisle explained that the Pacers retained the ball to commemorate rookie Oscar Tshiebwe’s inaugural NBA point. In response, numerous fans have subsequently pointed out that Oscar had already recorded a point in the Pacers’ recent game against the Lakers. However, it is important to note that the game was the In Season Tournament Finale. While the IST games are counted in regular season games, the final is not.
