Anthony Edwards sees things in a new light after the Timberwolves survive a thriller! It was all happening in Minnesota, as the teams returned to the hardwood after the Turkey Day break. While Ant-Man’s brutal criticism over his teammates on Thanksgiving Eve still hasn’t faded away, the 23-year-old dropped another promising statement after the close win over the LA Clippers. Notably, Coach Chris Finch seemed to have played a part in the contrasting viewpoint.
Heading into tonight’s NBA Cup action against James Harden & Co., the Wolves were on a four-game losing streak. No wonder Edwards was pissed with his teammates. The new-look Wolves had problems at the defensive end, which they claimed to be their forte, since the start of the season. However, the team managed to tick all the boxes and ended the streak with a 93-92 win.
Following the game, reporters met happy shirt-less Anthony Edwards, chilling in the locker room. A reporter asked if Chris Finch helped to bring about the unity in the shaken-up Wolves’ locker room. The rising superstar, without any hesitation, said, “Yeah, for sure. That was the main focus. Finch came in before the game like there’s going to be adversity we going to hit a wall we going to turn it over or we going to stick together.”

For those who are wondering what exactly Ant-Man said about his teammates on Thanksgiving Eve, here it is, “We soft as hell as a team… Just a bunch of little kids” Everyone thought the Wolves’ sudden resurrection after 2 decades went into ashes, but Edwards quickly pulled it back within a day.
He didn’t stop at that, as he further went on to praise his teammates. Ant said, “We got to stick together no matter what. I think we did that tonight man… Julius was great, early low man, guarding the ball. Naz sprint-back blocking shots. Jaden into the ball, Rudy up, like, everybody was disruptive tonight, and that’s what it takes to win every game for us.” Anyway, did Ant’s words fuel his teammates?

Did Anthony Edwards’ teammates respond to his criticism?
While we debate whether Anthony Edwards was right or wrong with his brutal take on his teammates, it’s also important to address that the Wolves indeed have a disruption within the squad. And there is even a perfect example to prove that too. A few days ago, the team visited Up North to take on the Toronto Raptors and suffered a 110-105. Within the loss, there was an uncanny moment in the last quarter where Ant-Man yelled at Rudy Gobert for a petty act.
When Julius Randle ran the play, Gobert stood inside the paint and asked for the ball. When the newcomer ignored the big man’s request, Gobert simply turned over by standing longer than 3 seconds. It was truly an ugly sight, coming from an NBA. Nevertheless, coming back to the subject. Did Edwards’ teammates respond to the criticism? Yes, they did but with their performances on the floor.

During the same locker room interview, a reporter asked if the star speaking his mind did the trick. Edwards responded, saying, “Hell yeah. That’s what I like, you know, what I mean. They ain’t say nothing to me but they showed it. So, that’s what I like.” Nevertheless, will the Wolves carry this momentum forward? What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
