While his productivity was put under a skeptical lens with his former team early this year, Brodie’s off-court impact far exceeds expectations. Being a part and parcel of the Los Angeles Clippers, Russell Westbrook plays an active role in giving back to the Los Angeles community through his foundation.
Apart from assisting the needy masses with education, training, and advocacy, the annual Thanksgiving holds great significance for the star guard’s ‘Why Not?’.

The ‘Why Not?’ foundation, initiated by Russell Westbrook and his wife Nina, runs on the idea of inspiring the lives of young people and teaching them to ask themselves, “Why Not?”. Helping them to have a new outlook on life in times of despair, the star player likes to create pathways of empowerment for the underserved population via his foundation.
The foundation has always been in the headlines for mega-charitable events. Brodie also donated 400 pairs of shoes and made a promise to bring up more jobs for deserving young adults, but that’s not all. Apart from unveiling a new sports facility in collaboration with Jordan Brand, the philanthropist has made sure to praise the community that raised him. Although the Los Angeles Clippers are hanging on a fine thread with their six-game losing streak, the player showed that there are other ways to spark joy in our lives.
