Seven years later, Karl-Anthony Towns once again fell prey to an unresolved beef! Yeah, the one with Jimmy Butler. Despite the players having switched teams since their fallout at the Minnesota Timberwolves, fans kept their receipts in check. Tonight, the LA crowd dug out the past to distract the NY Knicks big man, as the team struggles to get back to their winning ways amid Draymond Green’s controversial remark.

Last night, Jalen Brunson suffered a scary ankle injury, forcing him out for at least two weeks. So, the responsibility falls on KAT to shoulder the team in the regular season’s last stretch. However, the LA crowd doesn’t seem to have any sympathies. Taking on the Clippers at Intuit Dome, Towns had a tough time shooting free throws.

At one point, when Karl-Anthony Towns was at the line, the famous fan wall of the Dome raised ‘Jimmy Butler’ chants. However, it didn’t seem to affect the 29-year-old, as he shot the FT, all net.

More importantly, the Clippers fans may not have dug out the past themselves. Maybe Draymond Green played a role in it. Yes, Jimmy Butler’s new teammate. A few days ago, the Dubs visited NY and registered a commanding victory over the Knicks. Oddly, Towns opted out of the game.

While there wasn’t any clarity in the absence, DrayMagic let his mind go for a run. He speculated that Towns sat out just to avoid Butler. Speaking in his podcast, the 4x NBA Champ said, They said [Karl-Anthony Towns] ain’t play because Jimmy came into town and you know him and Jimmy had the infamous practice in Minnesota. Maybe that’s a thing.” However, it quickly turned controversial after the actual reason surfaced.

Draymond Green pleaded guilty after going at Karl-Anthony Towns

Seven years ago, Jimmy Butler asked for a trade out of the Wolves after he had a fallout with Andrew Wiggins and KAT. Butler wasn’t satisfied with the duo’s efforts on the court and reportedly yelled out, They soft“. It’s a thing of the past. Now that Green has access to Butler after the latest Warriors’ trade, he stirred the pot again.

Is the LA crowd's taunting of KAT fair game, or just a low blow in sportsmanship?

Unfortunately, he was all wrong. Towns, in an IG post, revealed that he was out for personal reasons to attend the funeral of a close friend. Oh no! That came right back at him like a boomerang. Now, the former DPOY has no option other than pleading guilty.

Speaking in his podcast, again, Green said, Oh, man. That’s unfortunate. I’m sorry to hear that That sucks. But my comments that I made was thatpeople I heard was this. And that’s what I heard. So I do send my well wishes to him and his family.” So, how will he make it for the big man?
