The Cleveland Cavaliers will welcome the Golden State Warriors for a much-awaited clash. Is this a rivalry reignited? Well, heading into the game, both teams are in great form. In fact, the Cavaliers are the only team left with a perfect record this season. The Cavs and the Warriors have had their fair share of success since their annual duals in the finals.
However, the Warriors have had the upper hand in the rivalry since a certain number 23 left Cleveland. They have a 7-2 record since 2019-20. Apart from the battle on the court, there will be another battle on the sidelines as the Master will face his apprentice, Kenny Atkinson will square off against his former boss Steve Kerr.

Speaking on his team’s latest, having the league’s best record, rolling currently at 9-0 Atkinson said, “What I think about is this team and the camaraderie they have, and the chemistry we have going and how connected they are,” and added “I’ve been fortunate to land with a really good group, a group that’s been really successful in the past and I’m happy for them — and I think they’re happy for me in the locker room.” appreciating the team’s culture and the chemistry Cleveland have.
One of the factors that could prove instrumental for either of the teams to take the win would be their sharpshooters in the backcourt, with the Cavaliers and Warriors being ranked 2nd and 4th respectively in 3-point shooting. Cleveland’s Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland are averaging 43.6 points whereas the Dubs have Stephen Curry and Buddy Hield averaging 41.7 points. The winner in this clash could prove to be the deciding factor in the game. Although, both sides are almost at full strength let’s look at the injury reports to get the latest updates.
