After a promising outing in their last game, the Minnesota Timberwolves are all set to return. Without a doubt, the team’s situation is concerning. They faced the top-seeding OKC Thunder before the All-Star break without Julius Randle, Mike Conley, Rudy Gobert, and Donte DiVincenzo and still managed to win the game. But they had a major setback following it. Anthony Edwards, who represented the Wolves in the ASW, couldn’t lace up because of a groin injury.

Now, the team has four of their starters out on the injury report. And they are all set to face the threatening Houston Rockets tonight. If the Wolves step on the floor with either of the above-mentioned players, even a 5-year-old could predict the outcome. A blowout win for the H-Town.

Anyway, I do have an update for the Wolves fans, that could give a glimmer of hope. So, last night, Wolves coach Chris Finch took up questions from the reporters at the practice facility. Undoubtedly, he had so many questions fired at him regarding the availability of the players. We’ll start with the team’s rising superstar, Anthony Edwards. Speaking of Ant-Man, Conley, and Gobert’s availability Coach Finch promisingly said, “All of them were in largely full capacity.”

Even though it wasn’t a complete green signal, we are at least sure that the team hasn’t ruled him out and kept him under the Questionable category. Apart from that, the team has also listed Mike Conley and Rudy Gobert in the Questionable category following their participation in the practice. At the same time, there isn’t any progress in Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo’s availability, as both of them are listed out.

DiVincenzo has been out of action since mid-January with a toe injury and is said to be far from returning to the floor. Meanwhile, Randle has cleared 5-on-5 practice “still in a controlled fashionas per Coach Finch can make an early return. In short, the short-handed Wolves have a tough challenge ahead.

Anthony Edwards & Co. vs Rockets: Starting Lineup and Depth Chart

It’s important to note that the team listed Anthony Edwards in the Questionable category with a hip injury and not the groin one. Ahead of the All-Star weekend, Ant-Man was on and off the report dealing with the hip injury. Nevertheless, it wasn’t a serious injury, stopping him from lacing up for games. So, fans can expect the rising superstar to take the court tonight.

Moreover, Coach Finch seemed pretty confident about his team, as he said, “Their effort, their confidence, they’re playing with a lot of swagger, a lot of belief… It’s key for us to keep the game plans as simple as possible for them. That’s one thing we’ve learned. Continue to stay ready as we move through these things.”
