Chet Holmgren of the Oklahoma City Thunder is the greatest draft pick for OKC in recent times. Holmgren hasn’t disappointed at all. The NBA regular season saw the Thunder win their first two games before falling to the Denver Nuggets. But they got their groove back on in the next game.

Now, hosting the Warriors in Oklahoma, the Thunder featured Giddey, Wallace, Dort, Jalen Williams, and Holmgren as their starters. The Dubs went with their usual set of Curry, Thompson, Green, Wiggins, and Looney. Gilgeous-Alexander’s absence will be a disadvantage but OKC seems to be doing pretty well against Steph and Co. So much so that it has sent the fans into a frenzy.

Looking at the stats of Holmgren is enough to see how impressive the rookie is on the court. Looking at the averages in the four games he’s played, Chet has 15 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 2.8 blocks to his name. And this is exactly why he is on par with the “generational” talent, another 7-foot giant, Wembanyama.

Chet’s performance against the Warriors has the fans showering him with praises all over the internet now. Let’s take a look at a few of them.

One fan takes a subtle dig at the Dubs when they ended up trading Wiseman to the Pistons. What exactly they expected from Wiseman is what they are seeing now from Holmgren.

Adam Koffler of Mojo is all praise for Chet Holmgren.

One user is quietly making a point as to how Holmgren might be a better player than Wemby.

Another user has given his vote of confidence in dominating the OKC.

Yet another user has given a proper reason as to why Holmgren and the Thunder can be contenders soon.

So far so good for Holmgren on the fan side. The comments are still coming in fast and hot. Chet was already in the spotlight for a long time and his induction into the NBA only proved to increase it.

The OKC Thunder is looking to get their winning streak back

Coming off of a loss to the Pelicans, it’s obvious the Thunder will be looking to redeem against the Warriors. Not an easy feat, considering they continue to be one of the most dangerous teams in the league. But Oklahoma is a force to reckon with as well. The fourth quarter shows the Thunder leading 129-125 against the Dubs.

Proof enough that even without their star guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder can hold their own against the Warriors’ Big 3. Cason Wallace is taking the place of Shai and so far his performance is subpar. He is an effective offensive player and has shown flashes of brilliance on the defensive end as well. Unfortunately, tonight is not his night.

On the flip side, though, Dort, Holmgren, and Giddey are all scoring in double figures tonight, with Lu Dort leading with 30 points in 27 minutes of game time. All’s not lost for the Thunder just yet.

Anyway, whatever the outcome, Holmgren is going to continue being a fan favorite for a long time. What is your favorite Chet Holmgren moment? Let us know in the comments below!
