With Caitlin Clark entering the WNBA, fans have noticed that the physicality of the league is slowly increasing. In the game between the Chicago Sky and the Indiana Fever, Chennedy Carter’s controversial physical contact alongside Angel Reese has been the talk on the internet, with fans taking sides. However, Draymond Green was not a fan of the unexpected foul on Clark and made a surprising request to the Indiana Fever. But the irony is that fans are comparing Carter’s physicality to that of the Warrior

During one of Indiana’s inbound in the second half, Carter tried to get into Clark’s head by using her physicality. The 22-year-old Fever guard, who was waiting to collect the ball, endured a bump from Carter, which made her fall on the court. Netizens have been questioning this unwanted contact from Carter, and Draymond Green commented on a post, which highlighted the physical play, “Indiana better go invest in an enforcer… FAST!”

If you are wondering who an enforcer is, just imagine if someone enabled a contact like this with Stephen Curry, and what would happen if Green was nearby? Yep, the 2017 DPOY surely wouldn’t let something like this slide past easily! But at the same time, fans believe Green is the type of player who fouls like Carter, but in the NBA. Ironic, right? Let’s take a deeper look.

Draymond Green turns into a scapegoat after he voices out

A fan tweeted on X, “She the female Draymond Green if I’m being honest,” pointing out the history of the Warriors forward’s physical plays. The 2023-24 season can be taken as an example to highlight the controversial plays of the vet’s career.

Another person replied to Fever’s head coach Christie, who called out Carter’s play, “Wah wah wah! Until Draymond Green is out of the league, I do t care for this bulls***. Until then, play fucking ball.” Sides shared in the post-game interview that she has sent a few plays to the league, requesting to review the treatment Clark has gotten so far.

“Draymond Green has done worse. She will be alright. Lol”, a fan commented. He was suspended twice and ejected four times in the 2023-24 season alone. He only played a total of 55 games this season, as he missed most of it because of suspension.

Another netizen replied to this controversy, “Yall ain’t ever heard of Draymond Green?? & we move!!!”, likely siding with Chennedy Carter. From the looks of it, the general public believes fouls like these are very common, especially when it comes to Green.

Lastly, one made a case for Clark by tweeting, Caitlyn Clark needs her Draymond Green. Folks can say what they want about him no one ever got near Steph. Every star needs that type of teammate”. With the above reactions, one thing is pretty clear. Fans are not really bothered by Clark enduring this physical treatment and suggested she get on with it!
