Jalen Brunson is the talk on the internet as the New York Knicks‘ wild playoff run has come to a disappointing end after Game 7 vs the Indiana Pacers. The 27-year-old point guard did not live up to the hype today. First, his shots were not falling in, and second, he fractured his left hand in the third quarter, which was officially the nail in the coffin for the Knicks. Fans at Indiana are excited to see the Pacers in the Conference Finals. However, this victory helped Paul Pierce get the last laugh on the Knicks fans, who went on to throw major shade on Jalen Brunson.
The Knicks lost the game to the Pacers, 130-109, and Pierce couldn’t control his excitement. The 2008 champion was not a fan of the Knicks this season. He was surprised they made it to the playoffs. Moreover, he shared a bold claim that the Knicks would not go past the first round, and if they did, he promised to wear Brunson’s jersey on his podcast.
Sadly for the Boston Celtics legend, the Knicks beat the Philadelphia 76ers, 4-2 in the first round. He shockingly wore Brunson’s jersey on his podcast and shared, “For one, I lost a bet to the New York fans. I said I would rock the Brunson jersey if they made it out of the first round.” Kevin Garnett was seriously unhappy with Pierce’s gesture. However, after the Knicks failed to make it out of the second round, Pierce decided to record a video of him furiously stomping Brunson’s jersey. He also kept repeating, “Y’all still talking”, thus mocking the Knicks fans.

Pierce gives Jalen Brunson and Co.’s fans a reality check after their disappointing exit
The Knicks have not made it to the Conference Finals since 2000. It’s long overdue. This was their perfect chance, as they had a 3-2 lead against the Indiana Pacers. However, injuries turned out to become a huge problem. Pierce did not want to show the Knicks any sympathy. The 10x All-Star shared, “Yall Knick fans are delusional stfu and get over it ya season is over deal wit it. Good yr tho”.
Brunson fractured his left hand, OG Anunoby pulled his hamstring, Josh Hart played through an abdominal injury eventually fouling out with 10 points and 8 rebounds, and whatnot. The Knicks have more than one excuse for their second-round failure. They also lost Julius Randle after the first half of the regular season. However, Pierce is not interested in listening to any of the excuses.

After the game, Jalen Brunson was asked whether he would deem this season ‘successful’ to which he straightaway replied, “No”, despite finishing as the second seed in the regular season and their post-season run.
The season is over, and the MSG will be quiet for a few months.
