The Boston Celtics are currently in great shape as they hold the best record in the season across the conferences. Following a heartbreaking loss against the Charlotte Hornets in overtime, the team gained their momentum back with a win against the Milwaukee Bucks. Amid this rampant run this season, the team’s offensive spearhead, Jaylen Brown, has been under the radar for an injury scare for quite some time. Will he be available for tonight’s game against the in-form Orlando Magic?

The Magic is one of the teams to keep a close eye on. They are currently on a 5-game winning streak, trailing behind the Celtics at the 2nd seed of the Eastern Conference. Moreover, the Orlando side defeated the defending champions Denver Nuggets on Wednesday. Considering the red-hot form that the Magic is in, the Celtics should go in with a healthy roster to have a chance at the game.

Ahead of the Celtics’ game against the Memphis Grizzlies on the 20th of November, Jaylen Brown was doubtful about joining the team on the court. The 27-year-old star suffered a right adductor strain, reported Sports Illustrated. The Celtics’ official X handle also declared that the star is questionable to join the team. However, hours before the game, Brown hit the court for a shoot-around and eventually, the team declared him available for the game.

He stayed on the court for 34 minutes and dropped 12 points with 6 assists, helping the team defeat the Grizzlies with a 100-102 win. Following that game, he went on to play the next two games and dropped 13 and 26 points.

As the team played three games in a 4-day span, the question of Jaylen Brown’s fitness has been in the air, since the star has already had an injury scare. Unfortunately, the injury doubts in the air became true. The Celtics have kept the star in questionable status ahead of tonight’s game, reported Fox Sports.

Along with Brown, Fox Sports also suspects that Jrue Holiday might also miss out because of his ankle injury, leaving the Celts in a defenseless position.

Brown – #2 offensive leader of Celtics

The team’s offense is headed by none other than Jayson Tatum, who becomes lethal when in form. So far in the season, he has averaged 27.9 points in 15 games. Notably, he hasn’t missed a single game. On the other hand, Jaylen Brown, who has missed only one game so far, averages 21.6 points with 3.6 assists. Unlike most teams, where the team’s offense is entirely dependent on one player, the Celts have it shared between players. Moreover, the inclusion of Kristaps Porzingis has also been an added advantage in terms of offense.
