Boston Celtics Head Coach Joe Mazzulla was a guest on the Old Man & The Three Podcast hosted by former NBA player JJ Redick. Mazzulla gave his opinion about Damian Lillard joining forces with 2-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo in Milwaukee. ?We don?t have time to worry about that.? The Celtics Head Coach said. Mazzulla became the Head Coach of the Boston Celtics last season after the controversial firing of Former Head Coach Ime Udoka. He led Jayson Tatum and Co. to the Eastern Conference Finals in his debut season as Head Coach. The Celtics, however, could not get past the Jimmy Butler-led Miami Heat.
Mazzulla said in the podcast that Dame and Giannis on the same team does not guarantee they will win the Championship next season. He compared the situation to his debut season with the Celtics. He revealed that he desperately wanted the Number 1 seed last season but was taken over by Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. And things did not turn out so well for the Bucks as they lost to the 8th-seeded Miami Heat. ?Look how that turned out for the Number 1 seed last year. So, be careful what you ask for is what I would say.? Mazzulla said. The young Head Coach wants to focus on the Boston Celtics rather than the noise around him.
