The Oklahoma City Thunder head to the Midwest to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers in a highly anticipated clash. Entering the game both teams boast the best records in their respective conferences. The Cavaliers are currently on a ten-game winning streak! However, the Thunder are one step ahead riding a 15-game winning streak.
Nearly halfway into the season, both teams have been playing some of the best basketball the league has to offer, making it interesting to see which team comes out on top in this heavyweight clash. Well, to have an idea of what lies ahead at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse, let’s dive into injury reports and depth charts for both teams.
Cleveland Cavaliers vs OKC Thunder Injury Reports

The Cavaliers are relatively healthy in the injury department with only a few injuries. Additionally, the most notable name on the report is forward Isaac Okoro. He is questionable for Wednesday’s game due to a shoulder injury. So far this season, the 23-year-old has averaged 6.6 points, and 2.3 rebounds in the 23 games he’s played and has been a regular rotation.
Other players set to miss this clash include Sam Merrill. He is also questionable for the game, due to an ankle injury, and will be a game-day decision. Lastly, Luke Travers will be absent from this game after signing a two-way contract with the Cavaliers. Splitting his time between the NBA and the G League.
As for the Thunder, they are pretty unfortunate in the injury department. OKC will be missing several of their players including veteran Alex Caruso. He remains sidelined after sustaining a hip injury. Furthermore, backup guard Ajay Mitchell is also set to miss this one due to a toe injury further adding to Thunder’s injury woes. However, that’s not all!
Alex Ducas is also ruled out from this matchup due to a back issue. OKC’s starting center, Chet Holmgren is continuing his recovery process after suffering a right iliac hip fracture and will be re-evaluated in 8-to-10 weeks. Forward Adam Flager will also be absent for this one after being diagnosed with a right fourth metacarpal fracture. And lastly, Nikola Topic who underwent a successful left ACL procedure is set to miss the remainder of the 2024-25 season.
