He was asked why he chose to tie/lace his wedding ring on his shoes. Practices can have a dual purpose. While highlighting his love is certainly one aspect, another is that the Serb simply does not want to lose the ring. After all, he had already lost it once! Unfortunately, even that was unable to save the NBA star from a repeat of the mishap.

Earlier today, Nikola Jokic made an appearance at the 361 degrees shoe event. The Chinese brand earlier revealed that they would release the first signature shoe line of the Nugget. The event finally unveiled the ‘JOKER 1’, making it available for purchase too! Given that the discussion was about shoes, Jokic felt compelled to make a confession during the event.

As reported by NBA journalist, Katy Winge, the hoopster revealed that he lost his ring again! This makes it the second time! Despite the fact that his wife, Natalija, got him another one, Nikola Jokic didn’t learn his lesson! Because of this reason, eagle-eyed sneakerheads may not have seen the metallic object being a part of the player’s foot gear for recent games.

Perhaps a public confession is the best way for Nikola Jokic to save himself from his wife’s wrath, right!?

Even if not, the player has now taken an extra precaution to ensure that he is more careful. During the event, as further reported by Winge, the 3x MVP revealed that he had a small pouch made, as part of the shoe. The purpose of it was to specifically protect the wedding ring so that it remains saved. Quite the effort and maintenance, isn’t it?

Knowing Nikola Jokic, though, one shouldn’t be surprised by what he does. After all, he often loses important things. Unfortunately, not only does his wife get fed up with this characteristic of the lead scorer, but his teammates may have also grown tired of the same. Especially since they have seen their fair share of examples that highlight Jokic’s carelessness.

Nikola Jokic was voted as ‘least trustworthy’ with passports after he lost his own!

Back in September, before the regular season, the Denver Nuggets had some fun with their players and coach. On their official social media account, the team highlighted a video in which they asked Michael Malone and the squad about who they would trust with their passport. Instead of answering who he would, DeAndre Jordan revealed who he wouldn’t, and that’s Nikola Jokic. Why?

Well, the Center revealed, “He may try to get rid of my passport!” Instead of providing a defense, the Serbian instead made things worse with his confession.

“I mean, I lost my passport, so nobody,” confirmed Jokic when he was asked the question. Even Jamal Murray backed out from naming Nikola Jokic once he learned what the player had done!

This was not the first instance of the Nuggets squad getting a glimpse of their lead scorer’s carelessness. Back in 2023, Michael Porter Jr. revealed that he and the other players once got stuck in Tijuana. Why? Because Jokic forgot his ID!

During an interview with Malika Andrews, a few days after the Nuggets’ championship season concluded, she asked Jokic about his Finals MVP award. Jokic replied, “I really don’t know. I left it in (equipment manager Sparky Gonzales’) room and it’s not there anymore. So, I don’t know. But hopefully it can arrive in my house.” Fortunately, Andrews later reported that the trophy had reached the player’s home safely.

After all of these incidents, it is nice knowing that the player is now being more careful with his prized possessions. However, Nikola Jokic will need to make extra efforts to once again build up everybody’s confidence in him!
