At this point, we can only say that the Phoenix Suns are cursed. They have the Big 3 (Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal, and Devin Booker), but how many games have they played together? One of them gets injured on a rotational basis. After missing the last 5 games with a groin injury, Devin Booker returned to the floor tonight, and the fans witnessed all three stars on the court. But it didn’t last long, as Bradley Beal headed to the locker room early in the game, crushing the fans’ hearts.
After just playing 12 minutes into the game, Beal suffered a hip injury in the second quarter. He awkwardly landed on his hip and even extracted a shooting foul. The star guard, struggling to move, managed to make two free throws. Following that, Beal headed to the locker room, and the team ruled him out for the rest of the game, citing a hip contusion.
In his short stay, Bradley Beal could only make three points with a 1-5 FG. This injury not only raised questions about his return but also the impact he leaves on the team with constant injuries. Last season, the star guard missed 29 games and this season he has already missed 10 games. It’s undoubtedly a serious concern for the Suns and the fans have rightly expressed their frustration.

Let’s find out what fans have to say.
Bradley Beal’s latest injury leaves fans fuming
During the 2024 off-season, one of the major stuff that revolved around the Suns franchise was the second-apron tax ceiling. Mat Ishbia has pushed the boundary without any hesitation to pull off this roster. Moreover, they even added Tyus Jones to cover for the lack of reserve guards. Importantly, the team looked lethal on paper. Unfortunately, the cycle repeated. In their first season (2023-24), it took them 24 games for the Big 3 to play their first game together. This season, the trio have only played 13 games together so far.
Out of the three, Beal missed most games including the previous season (39 games), dealing with various injuries and pointing that out a fan wrote, “He’s really talented. He just can’t stay healthy.”
Another fan, adding on that, wrote, “Bro trade this guy please like WTF.” Beal is undoubtedly a great addition to the team. However, the injuries have impacted his game as well. Noticeably, the guard’s shooting percentages have come down drastically. While he shot at 51.3% from the field and 43.0 from the arc last season, now he shoots at 49.4% and 38.9%.

A fan went ahead and boldly called it the “worst trade in suns history“. Well, it’s a tough statement to validate. Considering the offensive numbers that Beal could generate whenever he was on the floor was commendable. It’s a 57-year-old franchise and to rate Beal’s trade as the worst is quite unfair. However, going by the popular opinion from the mid-2010s, fans considered trading out Isaiah Thomas as the worst trade in franchise history, given that he went on to become a star in the Boston Celtics.
Another fan wanted a permanent solution for the team’s trouble and they wrote, “We gotta trade Book and KD while we can get our picks and more picks back and some young players who might become stars.” While most of the fans wanted to trade Beal, this fan wanted to trade the remaining two superstars and proposed to build a team from scratch. Something that the SA Spurs have been working on. However, it might take longer than the fan expects and it could also fail in the process. But one thing is clear, the fan seems so frustrated that he doesn’t mind rebuilding the team.

Siding with the individual’s idea, another frustrated Suns fan wrote, “Zero defense. No heart and can’t stay healthy. This team is cooked.” Well, to be honest, the fans seemed to have jumped quickly into judgments. The Valley side doesn’t have a game until Saturday. So, Beal has enough to recover for the next game. He might even lace up and return to the floor.
