“Yes in every lifetime!” Last summer, Cameron Brink finally made it official. After dating for four years, Brink said yes to her boyfriend, fellow Stanford alum, Ben Felter. The official stamp to their relationship in Paris certainly sank her numerous admirers’ hearts, and that might include her ex-boyfriend too. The poor fellow could’ve been the one if he played his cards right, but that’s where he messed up. The WNBA star opened up about her instant regret after bringing the man she once loved to meet his God-family, the Currys.
Stephen Curry’s mother, Sonya, bestowed the name Cameron on her when she was in her tiniest form. The two families have been friends over the years and Steph is Cameron’s older God-brother that everyone wants. Lucky you Cam! So it only made sense to bring her boyfriend to meet Steph and the rest of the Curry family. And it didn’t go according to plan at all.
“My first college boyfriend, I brought him over to meet Steph, Ayesha, who else was there, I think Sonya was there, my Godmother,” Brink told Sydel Curry-Lee on the first episode of their Straight to Cam podcast. “He tried so hard,” Brink recalled. Rushing into something is never the best of moves, especially if any fine young man is taking notes. Brink’s ex-boyfriend made this exact mistake and tried “to kiki with your family too quickly.”

Brink continued, “He wanted Riley and Ryan to do his make-up, like he asked Riley and Ryan to do his make-up, like out of nowhere. And Riley and Ryan were ‘like whaaat’???” It was off-putting to see her man try so hard in front of the people she desperately sought approval of. Making the Curry kids uncomfortable was the last thing you’d like to do in Steph’s presence. And even Brink knew how it would end.

“He was just trying so extremely hard, it just really threw me off… Why are you here? Are you here for me or are you just really excited to meet these people, I felt like that,” the LA Sparks star said. “Even my mom was like what’s going on? Even Steph said that.” Brink further added, “I feel like it takes him a lot to be like, because he just gets along with everybody.”
Trying too hard definitely makes everyone in the room feel a little uncomfortable. But that’s in the past now, and thankfully, Curry’s kids no longer have to face such awkward situations. Brink and Sydel, on the other hand, are having a gala time on the couch, discussing family, fun moments and of course, spilling some deep secrets on the show.

Cameron Brink’s game unveils Sydel Curry’s secrets
Cameron Brink convinced Curry’s sister to try the social media trend “We listen, we don’t judge,” and it ended up uncovering some secrets that were better left buried. Sydel revealed how, at times, she kept her location off so that her husband, Suns star Damion Lee, couldn’t track her. While it may sound a bit surprising at first, all of it was actually quite amusing.
“Sometimes, when I want to go get like McDonald’s, I turn my location off, so my husband doesn’t see it,” Sydel said. When Brink was a little confused Curry-Lee said, “I feel like he’s judging me because I’m eating a Big Mac.” Basically, Sydel is a Big Mac lover, just like many others, and gets the urge to have one without any restrictions. But she can’t let her husband judge her for it either.
