The Warriors are in a tough spot, and man, fans are not holding back—especially when it comes to Steve Kerr. The team’s been all over the place this season, but right now, all eyes are on Buddy Hield and whether Kerr’s handling his struggles the right way.

The Warriors’ acquisition of Hield produced expectations for him to become a reliable offensive threat. Especially after all the roster shake-ups. The expected knockdown shooter who the Warriors needed has transformed into someone who remains stuck in an extended dry spell with indications this could be more than a temporary slump.

The figures we need to examine show an unpleasant picture. Hield spent 30 minutes against the Bucks in the February 10 game where he recorded 16 points while making 7 of his 15 field goal attempts but failed to score on 6 of his three-point shots. Yeah, that’s a problem. His main role at the start involved making three-pointers, yet currently, he fails to deliver the same firepower. And this isn’t a one-off.

The last ten matches have seen Hield deliver 9.9 points while grabbing 3.9 rebounds as he finishes field goal attempts at 38.1%. Hield provides an inadequate contribution to the team because his performance falls short of expectations. Fans naturally wonder why Kerr continues to play Hield for extensive minutes since his performance fails to meet the team’s expectations.

The frustration hit a breaking point during the Warriors’ game against the Mavericks. Hield played 29 minutes—and what did he do with them? Three points. Yup. A guy whose entire job is to hit threes… made just one of his eight threes in 29 minutes. That’s brutal, and fans are losing patience—not just with Hield, but with Kerr’s insistence on keeping him in the rotation.

The team’s already fighting for their playoff lives, and with trade rumors flying, Warriors fans are wondering—is Kerr making the right calls? Should someone else be getting those minutes? Is he too loyal to certain veterans? Does something need to change ASAP?

One thing’s for sure—fans have had enough. And they’re making it loud and clear.

Fans couldn’t be clearer—they’re fed up with Steve Kerr

After the Warriors dropped a must-win game against a shorthanded Mavericks team, the backlash against Kerr exploded. No surprise there, really. Fans are roasting his rotations, his game plans, and his lack of adjustments—and they’re not exactly being subtle about it.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Buddy Hield's slump a temporary setback, or a sign of deeper issues with the Warriors?

Have an interesting take?

Steve Kerr let Kyrie Irving beat them by himself and he got just that. Was obvious first 5 minutes of the game.” And honestly? They’re right. Kyrie set the tone immediately, dropping 11 quick points in the 11 minutes he played in the first quarter while torching the Warriors’ defense. Kerr? He didn’t adjust at all. He let Kyrie get comfortable, and the guy went off—dropping 42 points in a one-man demolition job while the Warriors just … watched.

Look at Buddy Hield’s stat line and then ask yourself why Kerr is playing him like he’s the 3rd most important player on this team.” Oof! That one hurts because it’s true. Hield’s 3-point game against the Mavs wasn’t just a bad night—it’s been happening way too often. Remember the 12th Nov game against Mavs where he scored 14 points in just 21 minutes? Compared to today’s 3 in 29 minutes, yeah, that was much better. And yet, Kerr keeps riding with him, leaving fans wondering: What exactly is Kerr seeing that the rest of us aren’t?

Team has no SGs, no backup PG and Steve Kerr. No playoffs. They needed to win this game and just lost to the Mavs without more than half [their] roster.” And this is where it gets even worse. The Mavs weren’t even at full strength. Gafford (right knee sprain), Exum (left Achilles tightness), Davis (left adductor strain), Washington Jr. (right ankle sprain), Martin (right hip strain), Lively II (right ankle stress fracture), and Powell (right hip strain) were all OUT. And still, the Warriors blew it! This was a golden opportunity in a tight playoff race, and Kerr’s questionable decisions—like rolling with Hield over better options—cost them.

Idk how Kerr can watch Buddy and Moody this game and think that Buddy is the better option as a starter 🤔“.  This one hits home. Moses Moody got just 27 minutes but still put up 14 points on 2-of-8 shooting. Efficient, effective, and a spark on both ends. Meanwhile, Hield got rather more minutes and did next to nothing.

So, fans are asking the obvious: Why does Kerr keep prioritizing Hield over Moody? At this point, the Warriors’ season is on the line. And let’s be real—fans aren’t gonna let that slide. It’s time for Kerr to wake up and make changes before it’s too late.
