NBA All-Star weekend has officially kick-started with the celebrities taking on the court. But fans don’t seem too impressed with the proceedings, as they took to the internet world to express their displeasure. In the meantime, the event had its own snippets of standout moments, courtesy of Druski and Kai Cenat. However, even these two internet personalities couldn’t get the nod from the fans.
Fans got a clear picture of the game right after the first quarter. Team Bonds and Team Rice, coached by Bay Area legends, Barry Bonds & Jerry Rice, went off to a disastrous 1st quarter, with a 10-10 score on the board. This determined that the fans were in for a long game. Just as they expected, the game was bombarded with plenty of stoppages with foul calls and a horde of missed buckets.
Especially, playing in his second celebrity game, Kai Cenat had a lot of expectations on him. It all went for a toss during a particular play in the last quarter. There was a stretch where he had the opportunity to clear his reputation, but failed miserably. Here it is:

On the other hand, Druski also had a similar fate. After a poor shooting spree in the game, he got a clear look from the deep and dropped a triple. Unfortunately, it was too late in the game, as his Team Rice was trailing by 21 points with 3 minutes left in the game. But it didn’t bother the popular streamer, as he went off with a celebration, embarrassing himself.
In the battle of streamers, both Druski and Cenat ended the game with 4 points. Anyway, after four long quarters, the game finally came to an end with Team Bonds (66-55) winning it. Let’s find out what fans had to say.

Amid Kai Cenat and Druski’s embarrassing stint, fans already lose faith All-Star Weekend hype
Just as the celebrity all-star game was underway, fans took over social media to express their displeasure. A fan disappointingly, wrote, “I turned the NBA Celebrity game off 10 mins after it started. All-Star Weekend just isn’t the same.” Reminding you all that, in the first quarter, both teams managed to score 10 points each with a bunch of missed buckets. Moreover, it was in the first quarter that Kai Cenat faced his first embarrassment.

At the end of the first quarter, he rushed to the bucket on a fast break and attempted a layup, only to get rejected by Golden State Valkyries forward Kayla Thornton. It wasn’t a simple rejection, but an embarrassing one that laid him flat on the floor. He ended the game with 4 points with two field goals during his 12-minute stay. Following the game, he had advice from one of the fans, which was, “this man needs to stay off a basketball court.”
On the other hand, some fans were genuinely upset about the way things went. Looking at the way everything panned out, a fan declared, “All-Star Weekend is officially dead!!!!!!” after viewing just one event. The fan also listed the reason behind their view, as they wrote, “Non celebrity’s in the CELEBRITY ALL STAR GAME. Random NBA players in the Dunk contest. 4 teams for NBA All Star… what is yall doin man?!?!“
Well, the fan might have a point. The term celebrity has taken a lot of turns in the last few years. Earlier, ‘Celebs’ usually meant comedians, actors, singers, and stars from different sports. However, with the advent of social media, anyone can become a celebrity. So, it might take a while for some sections of fans to get on the same train. Meanwhile, another fan wasn’t patient enough to see the shift, as they wrote, “Abolish the “celebrity” all-star game.”

Above all, it wasn’t all about Druski and Kai Cenat, although they got the most attention. Notably, Olympic high jumper Shelby McEwen took the attention away for a moment when he showcased his athleticism with a slam dunk. On the other hand, actor Rome Flynn secured a game-high 22 points and walked away with the MVP.
