A crossover between the NBA and WNBA. Caitlin Clark took over the WNBA by storm during her rookie season with the Indiana Fever. But another basketball star lives in Indiana as well, Tyrese Haliburton. The two of them have become close friends. You can see them on Instagram commenting on each other’s posts and Clark commenting on Haliburton’s girlfriend’s posts. Looks like they’re having a great time in Indiana.
But what was not so great was the Indiana Pacers road trip. The Pacers, led by Haliburton, hit the road Monday but fell short in a 130-119 loss to the Toronto Raptors. Haliburton contributed 16 points, four assists, and three rebounds in the game, against Toronto.
Before the game, Haliburton shared a glimpse of the 2024-25 NBA season on social media, posting a few photos. He simply captioned it “brick by brick.” The way he’s playing this season, that’s not a very smart caption. Clark commented on the post “Himmy“. Maybe it could be an inside joke among them or something else entirely.

Haliburton isn’t having a great season. He even had zero points against the New York Knicks in their first matchup. Expressing their frustration, one user commented, “literally you this season *crying emoji* *crying emoji* * crying emoji*“. Tyrese Haliburton’s performance so far this season hasn’t matched the All-Star caliber play fans have come to expect from him.
He earned his first All-Star selection in 2022-23, posting impressive averages of 20.7 points, 10.4 assists, 3.7 rebounds, 2.9 threes, and 1.6 steals. The following season, he elevated his game even further, making the All-NBA Third Team with 20.1 points, 10.9 assists, 3.9 rebounds, 2.8 threes, and 1.2 steals per game. But this season, it doesn’t look like he’s making the All-Stars.

Another user commented, “Singlehandedly destroying my fantasy FG with them bricks“. Tyrese Haliburton’s skills made him a fantasy basketball gem, combining elite efficiency with well-rounded production. He led the league last season with a 47.6 assist percentage while maintaining a stellar assist-to-turnover ratio, making his play even more impressive. But this season it looks like he’s making people lose their parlay.
One netizen was also not happy, they wrote “Bro you need to find a new job desperately“. While he is not living up to his performances of the last two seasons, we can confidently say his job is not in danger. It’s only been a month and there are a lot of games left. Maybe Haliburton can find his form again.

“*sad emoji* why would u make this ur caption” commented another user. Looks like everyone knows what a brick means in basketball. It means when you shoot the ball with so much force, it bounces off hard like a ‘brick‘ from the rim or backboard. What about his recent performances? He could have chosen a better caption. This caption just leaves room for trolling.
As usual, people like to make fun of social media. One comment read “Bros caption is about his shooting this season *laughing emoji* *laughing emoji*”. His FG% has dropped from 47.7 to 39.3 this season. His 3P% has also gone down by 7% from 36.4% last season. Let’s see if Haliburton can turn this around because there is time left. What do you think is another unexpected Conference Finals for the Pacers?
