How quickly the tables turn! Last night, LeBron James silenced the Indiana crowd by hitting a game winning buzzer beater to beat the Pacers on their home court. Sure enough, the Lakers were pumped after the big win and hoped to continue their momentum tonight against the Bulls. Josh Giddey however, had other plans.
In a wild sequence to finish the thrilling encounter, the Australian hoopster shattered the LA team’s hearts by hitting an improbable half-court buzzer beater to seal the game for his team. Even the Bulls announcers could not believe what they had just witnessed and had an insane reaction to the Hail Mary shot. “Bulls are out of timeouts. 2 seconds left. Giddey for the win. GOOD!” One yelled.
Meanwhile, his colleague risked his vocal chords to celebrate Giddey’s miraculous three, “Oh my God! I cannot believe this! Elizabeth, I’m coming baby! Oh lord!” Overwhelmed with emotions, the announcer began dropping random Australian references, “Somewhere in Australia Sydney or Melbourne, Paul Hogan is somewhere Crocodile Dundee! Oh Lord!” Obviously as a nod to Giddey’s Australian roots.

While the Chicago crowd was ecstatic, the Lakers were absolutely devastated, which was evident from Bronny James’ reaction. While Giddey’s half court heave was in the air, Bronny fell to his knees likely hoping for the shot to miss. As soon as the ball went through the net, the rookie held his head down in utter disbelief and disappointment.

Obviously, the Bulls broadcasters did not care as they were still hyped about Giddey’s shot. “Bulls Nation! Embrace this team! I’m telling you. The hype is real. This is not the same team.” He yelled.
Well, although the Bulls are seeded ninth in the East, don’t let their standings fool you. They have been on fire recently, having won five of their last six games. Moreover, this is their second win against LeBron James and Co. in the past week. So, the Chicago team is looking extremely dangerous, right on time for the Play-in tournament.
What’s your perspective on:
Did Josh Giddey's miracle shot just overshadow LeBron's heroics, or is King James still the GOAT?

Josh Giddey reacts to his epic game winner as Lakers’ problem gets exposed once again
As expected, Giddey was hyped after his shot and addressed it in the postgame interview, “Let it fly with confidence. I missed two in a row before that but let that third one go with confidence and nothing but net.” Even without his final shot, Josh had an incredible overall performance, finishing with a 25-point triple-double. Sure looks like he has the Lakers’ number because even in their previous meeting last weekend, he dropped a triple-double, only two steals shy of the rare quadruple-double.
Moreover, Giddey was just happy to get his first game winning buzzer beater, “I’ve never made a game winner before. I made a couple layups to put us up with a couple seconds left but I walk off like that from half court, I’ve never done before. I don’t know if I’ll ever do it again but I’ll take this one tonight.”
Meanwhile, the Lakers left the arena with a major concern. As the Bulls announcer pointed out, “You may never see a wilder sequence than you just saw in the final 10 seconds!” For the second straight night, LeBron James and Co. blew a comfortable lead in the final minutes to put themselves in a sticky situation. With only twelve seconds remaining, they had a 5-point cushion against the Bulls. But some careless mistakes, including a turnover by LeBron, led to them losing their lead.

Sure, Austin Reaves put them back up with an impressive layup, but it was not enough to save them from Giddey’s miraculous three. Last night, LeBron pointed out that his team needs to better on defense in the final two minutes. However, the Lakers did not learn their lesson and committed the same mistake tonight. This is not a good sign with the playoffs right around the corner. Thoughts?
