The Bucks’ misery continues. After opening the season with a win, they have lost eight of their last nine games. And what’s even more concerning is that most of them have been blowouts. But they will get a chance to turn things around tonight as they prepare to face the Raptors in their first Emirates NBA Cup encounter. Unfortunately, things are not looking in their favor as the latest update on Damian Lillard’s health adds to their concerns.
Yes, the sharpshooter has entered the league’s concussion protocol and will not suit up tonight. It is not clear what caused this because Dame played his usual minutes against the Celtics in the last game. But he could not play up to his standard as he finished with only 14 points. Moreover, the timeline for his return remains unknown.
Meanwhile, Khris Middleton will also remain out as he is still recovering from the multiple ankle surgeries. Well, the veteran forward is yet to make an appearance this season. And ClutchPoint’s Brett Siegel recently reported, “Middleton is still dealing with discomfort from his offseason ankle surgeries, which has prolonged his absence to begin the year.”

Apart from the two stars, Giannis Antetokounmpo is also on the injury report with a lingering knee issue but he has been listed as probable. So, he is likely to be available. Sure enough, the Bucks will need his firepower in Dame and Middleton’s absence. Other notable names who are probable tonight include Gary Trent Jr. (back) and Andre Jackson Jr. (hip).
Well, the Raptors are also likely to miss some key players tonight. Obviously, Garrett Temple remains doubtful as he is still dealing with a back injury and has been out for the last four games. A major addition to the report is Immanuel Quickley, who is questionable after suffering a left elbow sprain. Well, he returned only three games ago from a pelvic contusion, and the elbow injury could sideline him further.
Sure enough, Scottie Barnes and Bruce Brown will remain out because of orbital fracture and knee injury respectively. Meanwhile, Kelly Olynyk (back) and Ja’Kobe Walter (shoulder) are also unlikely to play tonight.
