Damian Lillard had a great game against the Detroit Pistons last night. The Milwaukee Bucks guard went off on a scoring spree after his co-star Giannis Antetokounmpo got ejected in the third quarter for mean-mugging a Pistons player following a vicious dunk. Dame D.O.L.L.A finished the game with 34 points and led the Bucks to a 120-118 victory.

But it looks like Wednesday?s performance against the Detroit Pistons has taken a toll on Damian Lillard?s body. He is out for the game against the Indiana Pacers tonight. But what happened to Dame? Which injury is keeping him out of the lineup for the Pacers game?

The Milwaukee Bucks are taking on the Indiana Pacers tonight, and there have been some concerns for the in-trouble Milwaukee. Their superstar, Damian Lillard, did not suit up for the game due to right calf soreness. His status was questionable before the game, and the Milwaukee Bucks confirmed before the tip-off that Lillard would miss tonight?s game due to injury. We are still unaware of the severity of Damian Lillard?s injury. But it looks like he will be back in the line-up soon as he was seen getting some shots up before the game.

With Dame out of the lineup, Cameron Payne fills in at point guard, but he’s been unable to facilitate play as well as Lillard. With Giannis having to shoulder almost all the attacking load, the Bucks will be hoping Lillard’s injury isn’t serious, and that he will be able to return for their next game against the Orlando Magic.

At the end of the first quarter, things do not seem rosy for the Bucks, as they are down 14 points, trailing 38-24.

Although Damian Lillard will not play in tonight?s game against the Indiana Pacers, he has had an incredible season so far. The veteran guard has helped the Milwaukee Bucks grab the second spot in the Eastern Conference standings. The Bucks are currently proving to be one of the best teams in the league. Lillard is averaging 24.3 points this season, which is commendable, considering he is playing with another ball-dominant player in Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Before the trade, Giannis’ most frequent assisters were Jrue Holiday and Khris Middleton. With Holiday being a part of Lillard’s trade package, the onus would fall to Khris Middleton to pull the strings from PG, despite it not being his ideal position. Cameron Payne, who was a free agency acquisition, can fill in at PG, as can Pat Connaughton to some extent. While they will not have the efficiency of Damian Lillard, they can hold their own, allowing Middleton and Giannis to play their most dominant positions.
