Are the Knicks truly New York's top team, or do the Nets have a surprise in store?

The New York Knicks dominated the Brooklyn Nets 124-122 in a thrilling NBA Cup Group Stage clash on November 15. Jalen Brunson and the Knicks claimed bragging rights as New York’s top team. Now, both teams are up for their second showdown in two days, this time in the regular season. Who will reign supreme?

Brooklyn is already off to a 5-8 start in the 2024/25 season, which is quite shaky, to be honest. Meanwhile, the Knicks are fourth on the Eastern Conference table with a 6-6 start to the season. Moreover, both teams had an interesting (read: blockbuster) trade this offseason. The New York Knicks acquired Mikal Bridges and the Nets received draft capital for its rebuild. But, does this mean their rivalry will be subtle on the court? No.

Therefore, tighten your seat belts for an all-New York clash on Sunday night. The 216th matchup between the Knicks and the Nets is about to unfold its thrill. But, before that, you know the ritual- we’ve got to dig into the injury reports of both teams!
