Bronny James denying LeBron the aux—Is King James really that bad at singing?

LeBron James is arguably the best all-rounder player, but it’s surprising how he cannot get one basic thing right. The said thing in discussion is the King’s ability to sing or rap the lyrics of the songs with accuracy. And this is not a lesser-known fact, but something quite popular on social media platforms. And now his son, Bronny James, has also in a way accepted his father’s seemingly hilarious flaw.

ESPN’s official Instagram account posted a video featuring the rapid-fire round of sorts with Bronny. During the James family edition round, the LA Lakers rookie faced the question of who he is not giving the Aux. “My dad… I mean he got some good music taste. He got a lot of stuff that I even don’t know,” he replied. This was clearly a hilarious dig at Bron’s habit of butchering the songs’ lyrics the way he feels comfortable.

Notably, the 4x NBA champ is quite an active social media user. And there have been multiple instances where he shared his video singing or rapping to his favorite songs. But the usual hilarious aspect of these videos is that LeBron James does not care about the lyrics’ accuracy. While there are many popular and hilarious videos of Bron messing up the lyrics, it seems the 4x NBA star is quite confident of what he is singing.

Not long ago, the King had once posted a video of himself singing along to ‘Stay Down’ by Lil Durk. The exact part he was trying to sing was 6Lack’s verse from the song — ‘Hoppin out the car, no photos, baby’. But James sang it something like ‘yabadabadodobo old navy with such confidence that even 6Lack re-posted the video stating “the sureness made me question my own lyrics”.

This became 6Lack’s one of the most liked videos on X, which reflects though inaccurate, Bron’s singing videos are quite popular among fans. However, this makes it clear why Bronny does not want his father to be handling the Aux.

Have an interesting take?

During the interview, the 19-year-old faced the question of his top 5 all-time favorite players. The Lakers rookie named LeBron James, Steph Curry, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Durant in the same order of standings. However, for the fifth spot, he tied Anthony Edwards with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. As expected, multiple IG users flooded the IG post’s comment section with questions: ‘Why not Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant’.

It is well documented by now that Bron has time and again attracted comparisons with Jordan and Kobe. But Bronny completely snubbing the two legends did not seem to go well with the fans. Meanwhile, yet another interesting question from the interview was if Bronny would possess the ability to always make the game-winning shot or the game-saving blocks.

The 19-year-old chose he would prefer the ability to have game-saving blocks. This may come in handy if he was actually in a 1 v 1 against his father that allowed only dunks. Bronny was asked in the family edition round who would win between him, Bron, and Bryce in this scenario. With him picking Bron as the winner, it would only make sense to have the ability of game-saving blocks. All-in-all, the rapid round seemed quite fun and engaged significant IG users, no matter their approach.
