The NBA World has been in a frenzy since rumors broke out about Bronny James leaving USC to enter the NCAA transfer portal. Although the reports are yet to be confirmed by the James family, fans and analysts have already started speculating several scenarios. Many even believe Bronny’s final decision would depend on where his father, LeBron James’ wants to play next.

The panel at The LeBatard Show discussed the possibility of LeBron micromanaging Bronny’s transfer decision to choose his next destination. Veteran analyst, Amin Elhassan said, “This is a collaborative effort.” He believes the father-son duo will make the decision together and it could be co-dependent. He gave an example if the NBA veteran chooses to play for the New York Knicks, Bronny would likely transfer to St. John’s University. The panel claimed there is a high chance of the 39-year-old switching teams to play closer to Bronny’s next college. And that decision has the potential to elevate one American state. Rumors suggest the youngster’s viable transfer options include Oregon, Ohio State, and UCLA.

The panelists laughed at the thought of LeBron James playing for the Trail Blazers if Bronny transfers to Oregon. “LeBron’s not playing for Portland.” He could stay in LA to play for the Lakers if his son joins UCLA. However, if Jr. transfers to Ohio State University or Duquesne, there is a high chance of the veteran returning to Cleveland to finish his storied career. Elhassan agreed with that notion, “LeBron back to the Cavs could work.” However, despite all the chaos, LBJ has made one notion very clear.

LeBron James plans to support Bronny regardless of his final decision

Many fans also believe that Bronny might transfer to Duquesne because LeBron’s high school teammate Dru Joyce III recently got appointed as their head coach. He shares a close bond with Joyce and was the first to announce the news of his promotion. Bronny might also get a chance to team up with his younger brother Bryce at Duquesne and he already holds an offer from the University. That could be a perfect scenario for the James family as Duquesne is close to Cleveland, and LBJ will get a chance to finish his career where it all started more than two decades ago!

Amid speculations of LeBron micromanaging Bronny’s decision, the Lakers superstar had this to say about his son’s transfer rumors. “I don’t know where that came from, but at the end of the day, Bronny is his own man, and he has some tough decisions to make, and when he’s ready to make those decisions, he’ll let us all know. But as his family, we’ll support whatever he does.”

LeBron James claimed he was unaware of Bronny’s latest decision but plans to support it, regardless. Although it would be great for King James to play close to his son’s college, he will likely prioritize Bronny’s future and development over it. As the NBA World awaits Bronny’s final decision, rumors of LeBron leaving the Lakers to move to a new team will continue to escalate.
