Retirement isn’t on the horizon for LeBron James just yet. He still harbors one unfulfilled ambition: to play alongside his sons, Bronny and Bryce. However, Bron’s aspirations have encountered a setback since last year. Bronny, LeBron’s eldest son, collapsed on the gym floor during a practice session, sending shockwaves through the basketball community. It was later disclosed that he suffered a cardiac arrest.

Despite the major health scare, Bronny James  made a comeback and managed to play limited minutes for the Trojans during his freshman year. However, he didn’t perform at his usual level, only occasionally displaying flashes of excellence instead of his usual on-court dominance.

As a result, he posted disappointing averages of 5.5 points, 2.5 assists, and 2.8 rebounds while playing 22 minutes per game.  These statistics hardly suggest that he would be a first-round pick, especially not in 2024. However, in full 360 former NBA champ Channing Frye has a very interesting anecdote.

Channing Frye links up Victor Wembanyama and LeBron James while predicting Bronny’s fate

In the new post on X(formerly known as Twitter) Frye thinks that Bronny might play for San Antonio, and LeBron and Victor Wembanyama might have a team-up. “If [LeBron James] can hang on by a thread, even if he’s 42 and Bronny’s like gone to San Antonio or someplace like that, for those two to play and be on the same court, I think that’s going to be pretty impactful and pretty awesome for them,” said the former NBA champion.

Now, for fans, Wemby and Bron teaming up would be a sensation. With both their styles of play effortlessly syncing, the proposition by Frye is a big “what if?”. Still, even for speculating, there are a lot of permutation-combinations to factor in before Fyre’s prophecy comes to fruition, the primary thing being San Antonio’s willingness to take in Bronny, who looks far from ready for the NBA level.

On the flip side, Bryce has landed his first Division-I offer, earning a three-star recruit status in the Class of 2025. Should he opt for a single year of college basketball, he wouldn’t be eligible for the NBA Draft until 2026. This means LeBron would be 43 by the time Bryce could potentially enter the NBA. It’s a daunting task for anyone, but LeBron has consistently exceeded expectations before. So, can we anticipate him doing so again?
