The Phoenix Suns had a shaky start to their season, missing out on two of their star guards. The team eventually paid for it, losing 4 out of 8 games without a point guard. Even though the franchise leader Devin Booker played the first game against the Golden State Warriors, Bradley Beal missed the first seven games. Notably, he debuted for the Suns during the Wednesday encounter against the Chicago Bulls. Beal played only 24 minutes. Will he return to the Friday game against the Los Angeles Lakers?

After losing veteran point Chris Paul in the offseason, the team roped in Bradley Beal. Subsequently, the team’s odds at the championship rose. Unfortunately, the star sustained a back injury ahead of the regular season. Let’s find out about Beal’s availability for tonight’s game.

Bradley Beal‘s Suns debut game against the Bulls went well, as they won a close encounter in overtime. The star only played 24 minutes, dropping 13 points with 4 rebounds and 4 assists. Importantly, he had a rusty start with a concerning field goal, shooting 3/12 from the field. After a decent start to the season, several reports suggested Beal’s availability status for the Lakers game.

Gerald Bourguet, a senior writer for PHNX Sports, reported that Bradley Beal will be available for tonight’s game. In his post, he wrote, “Frank Vogel confirms Bradley Beal will play tonight. He was listed as probable coming in.”

The team’s head coach Frank Vogel, who already discussed the missing point guard situation, broke the good news for the team. However, on the other hand, the availability of Devin Booker is still unclear.

In the absence of the point guards, 2x NBA Champion Kevin Durant shouldered the team, winning four games. On several occasions, the team did bite the dust in close encounters. Especially, during the last Lakers game, KD almost had the LA team by their neck, until they exploded in the last quarter with a 100-95 win.

The Suns have an opportunity to pay back in tonight’s game. The only difference is, this time, the team has an all-star point guard available for selection.

How did the Suns manage without a point guard?

Frank Vogel addressed the point guard situation after the victory against the Utah Jazz, a few days ago. As mentioned earlier, the team played without both star point guards. However, he vested his confidence in a 25-year-old player, Jordan Goodwin. He added, “You know, with Team without a point guard, he’s [Goodwin] really the one on the floor that has experience… he’s giving us a big lift.” The Suns have only half a problem after Beal’s return.
