Two NBA franchises have been the talk of the town lately. One, the Miami Heat due to the whole Jimmy Butler drama. And two, the Phoenix Suns, also for Jimmy Butler and their guard Bradley Beal. But outside the court, Beal is dealing with a personal loss.

The 3x All-Star’s wife Kamiah Adams has lost her 88-year-old grandfather. It’s a tough time for the families; therefore, the Suns hoopster has a two-word message.

“My man!!🙏🏾💙” Bradley Beal commented under his wife’s heartfelt Instagram post. Kamiah shared a series of photos with her grandpa Jeremiah Adams Sr. who has played a significant role in her life. In her message, she addresses her ‘Popo’ as her two boys’ best man, father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather. “The one who gave me the best 31 years of love, laughter, and wisdom. I don’t know how I’ll go on without you, but I know you’ll help guide me through,” Mrs. Beal wrote.

Kamiah Adams further requests the departed soul to give her granny and aunt some kisses because she knows he is going to reunite with them. Undoubtedly, Bradley Beal‘s wife was very close to her granddad. It’s difficult to make peace with the fact that someone whom you’ve known for so long, someone with whom you have the fondest memories suddenly stops existing one day. In such difficult times, the mother of two, Kamiah is finding solace in the words of her husband.

Despite the grief, the NBA drama continues. Bradley Beal’s on-court life has been in the spotlight for quite some time now. And it all began with him being benched by Mike Budenholzer earlier in January. And well, one thing leads to another in the league with trade rumors developing now and then.

The Phoenix Suns reportedly benched Bradley Beal for a ‘sly’ cause. And that is, to push him into waiving his no-trade clause to make space for the blockbuster $121 million Jimmy Butler trade. In fact, there have been rumors that the 31-year-old guard could become a part of the Miami Heat to replace Jimmy. But, they are rumors after all and someone had to draw the line at some point. “Brad’s complete focus is on helping the Suns win, and getting their season turned around,” Bartelstein told The Athletic’s Sam Amick. “Everything else put out there is nonsense.”

Mark Bartelstein, the father of Suns CEO Josh Bartelstein, was a key factor in the trade that sent Bradley Beal to Phoenix just a year after he signed a $251 million deal with the Wizards. The Suns went all-in, adding Kevin Durant and locking down Devin Booker with a $220.4 million extension. Yet, despite these bold moves, the success owner Mat Ishbia expected has to materialize, leaving the team’s future uncertain.

The Phoenix Suns are the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 20-20 record so far in the season. Bradley Beal is having a decent season so far with a 17.5-point average. Surely, he might be willing to stay with the Suns and help in rebuilding the team, as his agent has claimed. At the same time, he had the right cards to turn the table for the team. However, away from the heat of the league, his personal life is going through a tough time with Kamiah’s grandfather’s sad demise. But then, as the saying goes: “life goes on.”
