Well, it is getting rather rough out in the ‘Valley of the Sun’ and for Matt Ishbia. The Phoenix Suns—stacked with Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal, a trio straight outta Hollywood—just got bounced before the real show even began. Although they have the most expensive roster in the NBA, they became one of the biggest disappointments of the season. They have lost eight games in a row after Wednesday’s 125-112 defeat to the Thunder, whDural didn’t hold back. With all the trade talk and side-eye swirling around Phoenix lately, Beal made it clear that what folks think they know doesn’t even scratch the surface. It’s been chaos from the outside, but behind closed doors? There’s a whole different storm brewing.

“Everybody’s going to have their opinion about something and you’re entitled to it. But nobody knows what happened internally and what we deal with…We know Matt (Ishbia), he’s going to demand some changes. We just got to be ready to hear what he wants to do.” Yup, Beal knows the whispers are loud, but he’s not flinching. The vibe? Something big’s coming, and it sounds like owner Matt Ishbia’s about to shake the snow globe.

And if we’re discussing the chances of Bradley Beal leaving Phoenix and moving to another team, then no, there is no official word on this. But come on, that would be a big deal. Beal didn’t just stroll into the league and coast—he built a career over 11 seasons with the Washington Wizards to earn a place in the All-Rookie First Team back in 2013, All-NBA Third Team in 2021, and perform in three NBA All-Star games. He’s literally second on the Wizards’ all-time scoring list—second!

So yeah, while there are no fireworks yet, losing Beal would definitely send ripples through the Valley. With things getting worse as they are, Matt Ishbia has some serious reflecting to do, and there is already some talk of a trade swap brewing in the background. And with the postseason out of the question, do not be surprised if things start to heat up in Phoenix.

Possible trade swap in the cards as Suns’ get eliminated from the playoffs?
