The Boston Celtics are scheduled to take on the Dallas Mavericks at the American Airlines Center in Dallas later tonight. The game promises to be an enthralling watch, as two of the best teams go head to head for the win. However, the Celtics will go into the game with a slight disadvantage, as Kristaps Porziņģis has been ruled out for tonight’s game against the Mavs due to a knee injury.

Apart from Porzingis, the Celtics could also miss the services of 2x NBA All-Star Jrue Holiday for tonight’s game because of an elbow injury. The Celtics also decided to rest Al Horford for their previous game against the Houston Rockets. His availability for the match also remains uncertain.

The Mavericks also have to deal with a few injured players on their roster. While Kyrie Irving and Luka Doncic are rested and fit, the Mavs would miss the services of Dante Exum and Seth Curry. The Mavs have ruled out Seth Curry because of an ankle injury he suffered during a practice session. Moreover, the wait goes on for Exum, who suffered a foot injury against the Jazz. Exum has missed Dallas’ last eight games due to the injury.

The Celtics have been the most cohesive team in the NBA, and their regular season backs that up. However, the Celtics’ away record is subject to more scrutiny, as they have won 13 out of their 22 away trips. While not a subpar record by any means, a championship contender is expected to secure more wins on the road. In a crucial away trip, the Celtics could start the game with Derrick White, Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum, Sam Hauser and Kristaps Porziņģis.
