The Celtics currently boast one of the best starting fives in the league, and their healthy roster only makes it better. Tonight, we’ll have Jrue Holiday (PG), Derrick White (SG), Jaylen Brown (SF), Jayson Tatum (PF), and Kristaps Porziņģis at the center. Porzingis did not play Wednesday’s game against the Spurs due to a right knee inflammation, but he has not been listed on the Celtics’ injury list tonight and is expected to suit up tonight.

Starting for the Nuggets will be Jamal Murray (PG), Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (SG), Michael Porter Jr. (SF), Aaron Gordon (PF), and big man Nikola Jokic at the center. Aaron Gordon has been listed as probable for tonight’s game with a right shoulder sprain, but he will probably play. This is because the Nuggets have had two days to prep for tonight; their last game was on Tuesday vs the Sixers.

What makes the Celtics a strong contender this season?

By destroying the Spurs with a 117-98 win on Wednesday, the Celtics became the 13th team in the history of the league to begin a season with a 20-0 record at home. They are the only team that has been unbeaten at home so far in the season. Their decision to restructure the roster before the season has proven to be a wise move. While Porzingis continues to contribute his incredible shooting abilities, Holiday brought in his winning mindset and the skills to defend the best opposing guards.

All the while, Tatum keeps putting on excellent performances, and to top it all off, the Celtics are very low on the injury spectrum. They are the only team right now with one one-digit number of losses. There could be no greater motivation for Denver to secure a win tonight and ruin Boston’s at-home winning streak.
