With Game 5 around the corner, the New York Knicks have been dealt a blow. According to a report by NBA reporter Shams Charania, Knicks’ forward Bojan Bogdanovic is set to have surgery for his injuries, forcing him to miss the entire season. Naturally, Bogdanovic will be missing from tonight’s match against the Philadelphia Sixers.

The Knicks currently have a 3-1 lead over the 76ers, and a win in Game 5 would secure them a ticket to Round 2. In a shocking turn of events, Philadelphia came back with a bang in Game 4. With Bogdanovic off the roster, New York will have to re-strategize ahead of tonight.

In a post shared by Shams Charania on Instagram, Bogdanovic is to undergo surgery to fix his foot and wrist injuries. He had to exit Game 4 early with a bruised left ankle after Sixers player Nicolas Batum fell on him.

With each match, Bojan has spent more time on the bench, and his contributions have decreased because of his injuries. He has averaged 15.2 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.7 assists this season. The player has been an important part of the New York Knicks roster this season, and his absence will make a difference.
