Stephen Curry has a new pre-game addition
Ensuring fans got their money’s worth well even before tip-off, Stephen Curry added another stellar act into his pregame routines. Displaying impressive multi-sports skills, Curry hit a bounce pass in a volleyball-style technique. With the ball leaping and bouncing, he proceeded to spike in towards one of the trainers. The trainer, in turn, skillfully bounced the ball around the basket, setting the stage for Curry to rise, and emphatically dunk the ball.

Sonya Curry was a volleyball player
Not only did Sonya Curry raise a family of athletes, but she also had an impressive athletic background herself. Just like her husband and children, Sonya Curry was a versatile athlete. Initially, Sonya took to almost every sport, participating in volleyball, track and field, and basketball during her youth.
However, as she grew older, her love for volleyball began to grow specifically. She attended Virginia Tech as a student-athlete and excelled in volleyball. Furthermore, she earned all-conference honors in the Metro Conference as a junior. Her best friend and colleague acknowledged her influence on the popularity of her volleyball team roommate, who claimed that Sonya single-handedly popularized the team.
The family’s fondness for volleyball extends beyond Sonya. Steph’s sister, Sydel, pursued the sport during her college days. In 2016, she earned a spot on the NCCSIA First Team All-State and was honored as the team’s MVP. Unfortunately, she chose to retire after an injury in 2017.
