Billionaire Philanthropist LeBron James Takes His Nike Sneakers to “NXXT” Level With I Promise Kids’ Assistance

Since the time LeBron James has stepped foot on an NBA court, his otherworldly skills have been very obvious. Now, well into his 21st season as a professional, LeBron continues to be one of the best players in the league. His exceptional skills and longevity have made him a global icon.

One such philanthropic endeavor of LeBron is the iPromise school, and recently kids from the school helped LeBron take his sneaker game to the next level.

Kids help design LeBron’s “NXXT” shoes

In a recent story posted by LeBron James on his Instagram handle, kids of various age brackets can be seen designing LeBron signature shoes with Nike. The kids in LeBron’s story are from the iPromise school. It is a public elementary school which is funded and supported by the LeBron James Family Foundation. The school became fully operational in 2022. It’s wonderful to see LeBron giving young kids a chance to express themselves through his collaboration with Nike.

Since the start of his career back in 2003, LeBron has always donned a Nike basketball shoe. In 2003, LeBron signed a seven-year deal worth $87 million with Nike. Since then, their relationship has only grown stronger. In 2015, LeBron became just the second athlete after Michael Jordan to sign a lifetime deal with Nike. The contract is estimated to be around a whopping $1 billion over his lifetime.

Apart from Nike, King James has also signed lucrative endorsement deals with AT&T, GMC, Beats and PepsiCo. According to Sportico, LeBron earned approximately $80 million in brand deals during 2023. However, LeBron has been extremely generous, as he continues to give back to society with his various philanthropic endeavors.
