LeBron James is a transcendental NBA athlete. In the current era, there are millions who are growing up admiring him or have now matured lauding his glory. So, they end up emulating him or his mentality. In this regard, there is no surprise that the modern-era drafts are full of players who consider him the best ever. Someone who is worth following, someone who stands at the top of greatness. As good as his on-court achievements are, off-the-court, he has already built a billion-worth of empire. And he uses his capital to better his body.

In this regard, a player recognizes his greatness.

High praise for LeBron James

Even when his 40s are inching closer, LBJ’s level of play is better than arguably 95% of the league. His longevity is a result of his immense durability. This durability has been a result of highly demanding workout regimens, a healthy diet, and a lot of investment in fixing wear and tear. There are reports that suggest he spends around $1 million during the offseason to get his body in shape. 

The Lakers Forward doesn’t shy away from putting a lot of into his body, because he wants to still play at a high level. For him, there is still a lot to prove. This unbridled hunger has led him to the current heights. As he looks from the top, there are various NBA youngsters looking to follow his lead.

One of these young fellows is the Houston Rockets’ 19-year-old rookie Cam Whitmore. When Playmaker Hoops, inquired about his “inspiration”, he replied, ”Biggest inspiration is probably, I’ll say LeBron. Just how he’s just being himself on and off the court, I mean from the beginning. How you know had all that hype, didn’t really care about it and just kept, you know the main focus, the main goal.”

The rookie had further praise for the incredible athlete.

LBJ can still run with the young uns

Then Whitmore alluded to his terrific play despite his age. He continued, ”Up to now, just still having all the hype, still remaining humble, taking care of his stuff off the floor, and still bouncing back at the end of the day and still playing as a 38-year-old man. Still running up with the young guys, so it’s just surreal to see somebody that you just have to notice and look up to.”.

This is a testament to the hard work of the kid from Ohio. As someone who has shattered benchmarks regularly, this kind of praise is commonplace. For many, he has already accomplished so much that he is the greatest player or not. Whether greatest or not, he certainly has left a trail of gold dust that permeates the soul of new talents.
