Stephen Curry amazed by Royal Family's $5B residence—Does this put athlete wealth into perspective?

Ahead of heading back to the court for the first showdown against Serbia in group games in Paris, Golden Boy Stephen Curry took a detour to enjoy the architectural beauty and mystique of London. On his entourage of the spell-binding scenery, the Warriors star stumbled upon the looks of Buckingham Palace in London, also known as the residence of the Royal Family in the capital.

The official YouTube channel of the Golden State Warriors shared the video of Curry’s detour in which the first words coming out of Stephen’s mouth after catching a glimpse of Palace were, “Oh shoot!”

The marvelous structure compelled Curry to step out of his car and look at the beauty. While the Warriors star was looking at the Palace reportedly worth $5 Billion, a thought crossed when he asked his friend on the tour, “Is it bigger than the White House?” Well, the answer was in the affirmative since the Royal Residence is quite gigantic in stature and luxury.

As Stephen Curry’s wandering endeavors continued, he searched for the man who rebuilt the Royal Palace, as he mentioned in the year 1703, in which John Sheffield, the Duke of Buckingham, started the building work. Out of the blue, Chef Curry then took Queen Charlotte’s name, quoting 1761, as her husband George III acquired the palace as his wife’s private residence in the aforementioned year.

Well, since it was a London Tour, Stephen Curry did not stop at Buckingham Palace; he had a list of locations up his list to visit.

Stephen Curry’s London tour itinerary

After Curry was done with the London Palace, he moved ahead to the close square to visit the monument of Queen Victoria, the Victoria monumental. It is evident how Curry was left in awe of the architecture when he asked his friend to imagine the weight the original workers had to put on the top of the monument. The next destination Curry went to was Big Ben. He completed the 20-minute walk to the location in his car, and it seemed that the clock architecture was the second thing that left him enchanted with its beauty.

Just after witnessing the marvel, Curry could not stop himself from saying, “That is insane.” He took his time to observe everything as he further left amazed with how the British people have preserved their architecture and engineering over the centuries overcoming the shackles of time decay. Well, the sightseeing continued while Stephen Curry, in the midst of it, expressed, “Being a tourist is fun, being able to see different cultures, the history of this beautiful city, London.”
