After almost spending 3 seasons with the Miami Heat, Kyle Lowry found his back door recently. Ahead of the trade deadline, the Heat traded out Lowry for Charlotte Hornets‘ Terry Rozier. Days after the trade, the Florida team’s spearhead, Jimmy Butler, opened up with an emotional statement during the post-game press-conference tonight.

The Heat hasn’t had a great run lately, especially after Lowry’s exit. They are currently in a 5-game losing streak after their blow-out loss against the Boston Celtics. Following the game, the reporters swarmed Butler and rained him with questions. One of the reporters asked him about the Lowry trade.

He responded, saying, “That’s my brother. Basketball is not going to change the bond that we have. The bond we have with each other’s children. It’s always a family vibe with him.”

He further continued his emotional statement, saying, “I can call him. I can show up in his house at any point of time. Basketball hasn’t defined me, hasn’t defined him. It won’t.”

Following that, another reporter asked about his new teammate, Terry Rozier. He added, “I think it can be a positive thing. The scoring that he brings, the leadership that he brings…”

However, Terry Rozier could be an added value to struggling Heat with his current form. In this season, Rozier has maintained an impeccable average of  23.2 points, whereas Lowry recorded only 8.2 points. Considering the massive points difference, the Heat could have a massive boost in the games to come.

While Rozier has already made his debut with the Heat, A Sports Illustrated report stated that Lowry might take a game or two, before donning the Hornets threads. Moreover, 37-year-old, who is in the last phase of his career, would think twice before playing for a 10-32 team.

The Celtics entered the game fresh from their wounds at TD Garden. The defending champions spoiled their 20-0 home run with a close win. Following the loss, the frustrated Celts took it out on the off-colored Heat.

Jayson Tatum led the offence with 26 points, supported by the entire starting lineup. Everyone in the lineup scored above 15 points. Meanwhile, on the other end, Heat didn’t get much support from the bench, as they only contributed 34 points. And the newest addition, Rozier had a poor game, dropping 7 points in his 29 minute stay.
