The former Celtics legends, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett had a discussion on ‘SHOWTIME basketball’. There Garnett asked Pierce about the Lakers and if he would change anything in the team. To which Pierce replied, “Why we gonna keep making excuses for the Lakers bro, I’m tired of this s**t. They made the train last year, was in the conference finals. Then we come in like they was the deepest team they ever had and now they off a slow start. Like come on bro, this is it, work with this.”

He further continued and said, “Now they need a third star(LaVine), man i am tired of hearing this. They don’t need nothing, bro, just figure it out.”.?After listening to Pierce’s opinions, it sure seems like he does not think the Lakers require LaVine. Because this off-season, they re-signed all their important players and made some strategic acquisitions.

However, because of their key players like Anthony Davis and Jarred Vanderbilt being injured, the team’s chemistry has been affected in a negative way. Rumors of a Zach LaVine trade have gathered pace, with sources indicating the Lakers’ actual interest, but at the proper price. The prospect of teaming LaVine alongside LeBron James and D’Angelo Russell is fascinating. The possible effects, in terms of collaboration and salary limit constraints, require serious examination.

How can this trade negatively affect the Lakers?

The Lakers’ main challenge is developing on-court collaboration. Making the decision to change the squad in the middle of the season could harm the natural growth of the team’s unity. With important players returning from injury, there’s an urgent demand for the current squad to gel and demonstrate its actual potential. By sacrificing their strengths and jeopardizing their ongoing unity among the team could affect the franchise in the long term.
