During last night’s Kings vs Raptors game Drake publicly revealed his beef with DeMar DeRozan by saying,“If you ever put a DeRozan banner up, I’ll go up there and pull it down myself.” Yes, Deebo spent nine years playing for the Toronto-based franchise and had a good relationship with the rapper. However, things have changed since the Kings star made his allegiance clear in the Drake vs Kendrick Lamar beef. And NFL legend Chad Johnson believes this might be the beginning of the Canadian rapper’s ‘Revenge Tour.’
Addressing why Drake suddenly has bad blood for DeRozan, Shannon Sharpe said, “DeMar DeRozan is from Compton. Kendrick Lamar is from Compton. I think he was in Kendrick Lamar’s video.” Yes, the former Raptors star made a cameo in Kendrick’s ‘Not Like Us’ music video, and the rapper even wrote a verse about his departure from the franchise, “I’m glad DeRoz’ came home, y’all didn’t deserve him neither.” Sure enough, Drake was not pleased with his former pal starring in a diss video targeted at him and even called DeRozan a “goof” during last night’s game.
Moreover, Shannon reminded everyone that the rapper also unfollowed LeBron James from Instagram after the Lakers star attended Kendrick’s concert earlier this year. Realizing that Drake’s actions might be fueled by betrayal, Johnson said, “This could be like a revenge tour now… Everybody that offended me and took sides with my enemy, I’m coming to see you. You got to see me.”

While addressing the Canadian rapper’s emotions toward DeRozan on Nightcap, Chad remarked, “Oh, you finna play me. You played with the Raptors. Even though you from Compton, you spent time you know, we cool. I had you at my house you know, we’ve been on double dates with chicks and now you know, Kendrick, we beefing and you pick his side.” According to the NFL legend, Drake would have preferred if Deebo had played defensively instead of siding with his rival. Regardless, he believes that Drake’s new persona is good for the game.
Chad Johnson asks for Drake’s “Hit List” after DeMar DeRozan disrespect
Obviously, everyone was waiting for DeRozan’s response after Drake’s in-game comments. And he did not disappoint. “He gonna have a long way to climb to take it down. So, tell him Good Luck,” said DeRozan. It sure looks like their beef is only beginning. However, Chad believes this might be good for the game. “I like this though. This good for basketball. This good for the culture,” said Johnson. Obviously, it is high-profile rivalries like these that make the game more interesting and attract more eyeballs.
Moreover, this fuses the hoop and music world, which the fans love. Moreover, Drake has made it clear that he will spare no one who is not on his side by dissing the former Raptors star and also unfollowing his good friend LeBron. “Now I’m excited… I like this s—. Who else on the hit list?” Johnson hilariously asked Shannon, hyped about who Drake was gonna target next. Well, we will have to wait and see as his ‘Revenge Tour’ continues.
