Steph Curry enjoyed a wholesome day out with his family. It was special because it was their first outing together with a special someone. Last month, the NBA veteran and his wife announced the birth of their fourth child, a boy, who they named Caius Chai. “We are finally settling in at home as a family of 6! So grateful!” they heartwarmingly wrote. Three weeks later, they set out on Caius’ first journey into the outside world.

Ayesha took to her Instagram story and posted a picture of a dessert from her restaurant, International Smoke. As one of the most renowned chefs in the country herself, the 35-year-old knows what’s best for her family, what’s best for the newest addition to their family. Well, as delicious as the dessert may have looked, that wasn’t the most eye-catching aspect of the story. It was the caption, which read, “For our first time out as a family of 6! Ah!” The couple has yet to reveal the baby’s face. But they’ve not been shy while telling their fans about their newborn.

Steph and Ayesha jointly posted a picture on Instagram featuring a newborn Caius. They wrote, “Our sweet baby boy decided to make an early arrival!! He’s doing great, and we are finally settling in at home as a family of 6! So grateful!” The NBA star’s wife announced her pregnancy in March by showing off her baby bump on the cover of the first digital issue of her magazine, Sweet July. She put her 100% into the process as she revealed it could likely be her “last pregnancy.” But it was one that Steph and Ayesha just knew they wanted.

A message from Ayesha in that Sweet July issue read, “For so many years, Stephen and I thought we were done. And then, last year, we looked at each other and agreed we wanted to do this again.” The power couple realized that “someone was missing” from their family and that someone was their fourth child. The best part is that apart from the love that Caius is already getting from his parents, he also has three older siblings – Riley, Ryan, and Canon – who are just as excited about Caius’ addition to their family. In anticipation of another grandchild, Steph’s mother, Sonya, released her first family-care book, Fierce Love.

Now, Steph and Ayesha could make use of Fierce Love, which is about raising a child, managing yourself while parenting, and preventing burnout later while bringing up their fourth baby, Caius Chai. “Sleep is vital… Find time to be alone for at least 30 minutes per day… Sleep when the babies are sleeping,” Sonya wrote. That said, have you wondered what the name Caius Chai meant? Well, we have you covered. Traced back to a Latin origin, “Caius” means rejoice. On the other hand, “Chai,” in its Hebrew sense, means life. Interestingly, Steph seems to have a fascination with Hebrew, which is reflected in his two tattoos.

One is a biblical quote from the New Testament on his wrist, and the second is their famous surname in Hebrew. The Bay Area legend is making the most of his free time with the family. He has very little time before heading into a busy off-season. Soon, he will join hands with his co-stars for national duty in Paris after some golfing business in the off-season, too.

Speaking of the Paris Olympics, this will be the 36-year-old’s first appearance at the Games. He missed two previous opportunities because of family and health concerns. While he has no regrets, Steph Curry did admit that he’s always had the “itch to play and play on the biggest stage like the Olympics.” Did you know he and Ayesha planned their fourth pregnancy to ensure that the Warriors star could compete in Paris?

As reported by the Associated Press, Curry revealed, “We thought about it ahead of time, which was nice. If the timing didn’t work at a certain month in the fall, we actually would have made a different decision, knowing the Olympics were on the radar. So, thankfully, the Lord looked out for us and if everything goes to plan, I’ll be available this summer.” Everything did, in fact, go according to plan. And now, the four-time NBA champion is heading to the French capital.

Steph Curry sets up for his first Olympic appearance

Along with being a successful father, the Dubs superstar has done everything that an NBA player could achieve. He’s won four titles, along with two MVP honors. Outside of GSW, he has won two World titles after winning the 2014 FIBA World Cup and the 2010 FIBA Men’s World Championship, representing Team USA. However, he has one thing missing in his hat of achievements and accolades: the Olympics, and he’s now got the perfect opportunity to make it alongside Kevin Durant and LeBron James.

Speaking of it, Curry said, “I played in two World Cup teams, I’ve had that international experience. But in 2016 and 2021, I missed it. So, I’m excited about this opportunity.” He also added how this would be his last chance to represent his country at the Games, considering his age. And there was no way he was missing it this time.

Moreover, the 36-year-old superstar has a specific advantage, playing for the national side. Dubs’ coach Steve Kerr has taken over the coaching job for Team USA. Curry highlighted the advantage, “I know Coach Kerr and his approach. He has a great coaching staff beside him. Being in Paris and representing your country at the highest level, there is no greater experience.”

So, after the NBA Finals, the players will assemble for the practice session, and fans can get a picture of the team before they make their trip to Paris.
