Ayesha Curry and Lindsay Lohan’s friendship has been taking the internet by storm. Their new movie, “Irish Wish,” is just around the corner, and they’ve been practically joined at the hip promoting it. But the real story is how these two became BFFs and Ayesha and Stephen Curry ended up as godparents of Lindsay Lohan’s son.

Turns out, it all started on a trip to Dubai! Appearing on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Lindsay explained how it all goes back to Chef Michael Mina. Chef Mina became the ultimate wingman, who kept pushing Lindsay’s husband, Bader Shammas, to introduce them. Lohan further explained, “She (Ayesha) happened to be coming to Dubai and we met and we just clicked right off the bat!”

But that’s not all! Lindsay elaborated on how Ayesha showed up at a time when she “really wanted to get pregnant” and continued how their friendship “was very fitting.”  Even though Lohan did humorously add how adult friendships are a little different but with Ayesha, the friendship just grew. Lindsay and her husband Bader now have a 7-and-a-half-month-old boy named Luai who has some pretty cool godparents.

Ayesha and Steph have three children: daughter Riley( 11) daughter Ryan (8) and son Canon (5) and are expecting baby no.4. Concerning the fourth baby, Ayesha in a recent interview was asked if Lindsay Lohan will be the godmother of the child. To this, the actress smiled and revealed, “Well for us, so we typically wait until after the baby is born to make these decisions.” Nonetheless, their friendship has garnered a lot of attention, especially with the recent events that have come forth.

From the Court to the Red Carpet

The Curry-Lohan friendship first came to light at a Warriors game in February. Lindsay Lohan’s husband, Bader Shammas, posted a photo on his Instagram of a signed basketball jersey they received from Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry. The jersey, gifted after Curry scored an impressive 60 points against the Atlanta Hawks, read “To Luai” and “Your godparents love you! Warriors!!

Lohan and Bader have been married since 2022 and have been living in Dubai since Lindsay moved there around 10 years back. The two are rarely photographed in public so this marked a rare public appearance for Lohan with her husband.
