Despite an outstanding performance from Sabrina Ionescu, Curry reclaimed his title as the greatest shooter in the NBA by defeating the 3-point contest record holder with a score of 29-26 in the special Steph vs. Sabrina three-point showdown.

The contest garnered attention from media personalities and athletes across the league who chimed in with their favorites when it was first announced. As Steph secured the victory, a comical moment unfolded. Enjoying every bit of his win with his unique celebration, his wife Ayesha cheered on. Meanwhile, Giannis Antetokounmpo, watched in disbelief on the sidelines., with his hand on his head.

In an early interview, Giannis claimed Sabrina to win the contest, citing, “I put all my money on Sabrina.”

Unexpectedly, much like Giannis, numerous athletes and media personalities predicted Sabrina to emerge victorious. Notably, even Steph’s teammate, Klay Thompson, immediately threw his support behind Sabrina. While this doesn’t diminish Curry’s achievement, it is worth noting that Sabrina held the record for the best performance in a 3-point contest, missing only 2 shots in a round.

However, until circumstances bring them together again, Stephen Curry claims the bragging rights and a WWE-like championship belt labeled “Stephen vs. Sabrina,” adorned with images of GOATS on either side.

A Bay Area native, Ionescu grew up attending the Golden State Warriors‘ home games and idolizing Curry in the process. During her time at Oregon, Curry actively supported the collegiate star. Since then, the two have shared a special bond, serving as the catalysts for the highly anticipated three-point clash after engaging in lighthearted banter on social media.
