Along with devoting 15 years to an impressive NBA career and securing four championship titles in the process, Stephen Curry continues to be a family man. He is a devoted husband to his wife Ayesha, and a loving father to his three kids. If NBA fans and enthusiasts thought they couldn’t have enough of the ‘Currys’, this latest announcement would have taken the excitement a notch higher.

Ayesha Curry recently posed for the latest edition of her lifestyle magazine ‘Sweet July’. What was different this time than the previous covers was that the 34-year-old was seen spotting a baby bump. After the Warriors player highlighted the same on his social media, people couldn’t contain their excitement over the fact that the world will be welcoming Curry’s fourth child anytime soon.

There was an out-pour of well wishes and cheers not only from fans but also from many of Stephen Curry’s on-court teammates and rivals. LeBron James took to the comments section to write “CONGRATS BROTHA!!” in all caps, clearly showing his levels of excitement. Curry’s teammate and 2015 Finals MVP Andre Iguodala chose to drop some truth bombs by writing “You gotta be you rich to have 4 kids… enjoy!!!!” Given Stephen Curry’s net worth of $160 million, Iguodala may be right in claiming money won’t be an issue when raising them!

Amid the announcement, Ayesha also emphasized their need to have a fourth child, even though they initially thought Canon would be their last one. Let’s dive deeper.

Ayesha Curry stated that having four kids would “complete” the family

After having devoted a considerable amount of time to their relationship, Stephen Curry and Ayesha tied the knot back in 2011. The couple’s daughters, Riley and Ryan, were born in 2012 and 2015, respectively, while their son Canon came into the world in 2018. For a long time, Ayesha felt that this was enough until she started to get the feeling that something was “missing” from their life.

“For me, the decision came from always finding myself looking around and feeling like somebody was missing,” Ayesha wrote in the latest edition of Sweet July Magazine’s ‘Village Issue’.

“I would load up the car and think, ‘Oh, I forgot something.’ But nobody was forgotten.” She also stated that watching her children grow up made her realize that she had more time on her hands for another addition. “So we set out on this journey, knowing that this would complete our family,” Ayesha wrote.
