The Currys were quite strategic with their fourth and final pregnancy. Keeping the window for the 2024 Paris Olympics open, Stephen and Ayesha Curry ensured their dream of bringing the family full circle as well as Steph’s Olympic debut would both work in tandem. And now their newest family member, Caius Chai Curry along with his brother, is on his way to cheer for their 4x NBA Champion dad.
Despite the long travel a week earlier than anticipated, specifically, 8800 miles, carrying a newborn, Ayesha Curry has arrived to cheer Steph and Team USA, minus the girls.
Yup! This time, it’s an all-boys trip, with Mum. In her latest Instagram story updates, Ayesha Curry shared a picture of herself with little Caius and Canon at the airport. “We made it!!!!! Ready to cheer on @stephencurry30 and #teamusa. First”boys” trip!” she wrote. The couple couldn’t be together for their 13th anniversary on July 30, with Steph occupied with his team’s group stage schedule and Ayesha taking care of their newborn baby. But she had expressed her desire to be there for her husband in Paris earlier.

In the ‘Thirteen Lune’ blog she mentioned “We’re headed to Paris to support Stephen and Team USA,” revealing her summer plans. Apart from cheering for her husband, she has another reason to travel to the Olympics host city.
She mentioned that she had been to Paris before and “it’s one of my favorite places. I love the art and culture, and the food, of course!” Steph had earlier predicted that his wife would arrive during the medal rounds. And his prediction was almost spot on. Team USA qualified for the quarterfinals of the men’s basketball event and will face Brazil on Tuesday, 6 August.
The team topped their group with wins over Serbia (110-84), South Sudan (103-86) and Puerto Rico (104-83). However, Steph Curry so far has not lit up the tournament as many would have expected him to do so. He has averaged 7.3 points on 32% shooting in the three games so far. He would hope to turn up the numbers toward the business end of the campaign and clinch a first gold medal for himself, with his newborn present to cheer him on.
In an interview with the Associated Press on April 17, Steph Curry revealed that he and his wife made sure to keep the months of July and August clear so it wouldn’t affect his debut at the Olympics. The two were expecting their fourth child in June, but the little guy seemed in a hurry to be in Paris to watch his Dad make his country proud, arriving in the world on May 11.
When Steph announced the arrival of Caius Chai on IG, everybody was intrigued by the choice of name. Having Latin and Hebrew origins, respectively, “Caius” means “rejoice” and “Chai,” – “life.” As for Ayesha, she’s made sure to keep the fans updated with glimpses of Baby Chai. But yes, we are yet to see the little one’s face. But it seems like arriving at one of Ayesha’s favorite places for a vacation wasn’t enough for Canon.
Ayesha Curry finds herself with an impatient Canon Curry!
The popular cookbook author shared one more image in her IG story. And it showed an impatient Canon looking out of the airplane window. Captioned, “Are we there yet?!” it looks like the couple’s eldest son can’t wait to meet his dad. Riley remains to this day the little girl who captured the hearts of the Warriors and Curry loyalists. But Canon has made his mark, too.
Most notably, his “Hello, Klay Thompson” and even harnessing his inner Draymond Green as the then-5-year-old attempted to punch the veteran forward, all had the Dubs fans howling in laughter. But even with the 10x All-Star familiarizing his son with basketball, it seems like Steph’s son might be interested in a different sport.

In early June, the Warriors’ official IG account shared a video of Stephen Curry making a special appearance ahead of the New York Yankees vs San Francisco Giants game. Tagging along was their second-born, Ryan, as well. But the most excited to be out in the field was Canon. And he made sure to showcase his throwing prowess before they settled down to watch the game.
Anyway, Steph will have three of his biggest fans and supporters cheering for him and Team USA in the stands. His daughters, Riley and Ryan, will also be rooting from afar. All we are missing now is a gold medal, which hopefully, will adorn Steph’s neck soon!
