Team USA concluded their London Showcase journey with a thrilling win against Germany. All the proceedings before the coveted Paris Olympics have now been done. All that remains for the Team USA fleet is to march to the French capital and reclaim their Gold honors. But will they be able to repeat it? Considering the state of Steve Kerr’s rotation policy, after having solely given LeBron James the car keys, there are certain doubts for sure. But there are still a few days to kick into ‘Competing Mode’ for everyone, And Stephen Curry is using this break wisely.
Still in London, the Golden State Warriors ace decided to explore the rich history of the city. With a camera documenting his adventures, Stephen Curry visited some of the popular landmarks. The Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, and the tall Big Ben were all a part of the Splash Brother’s London expedition. Unlike the US, Curry could be a simple tourist, enjoying the diverse scenic pleasures of London, without being swarmed by thousands of people. It’s an experience the three-point specialist thoroughly enjoyed.
“Being a tourist is fun. Being able to see different cultures, the history of this beautiful city,” he admitted in a video posted on X. As seen in the video, Steph definitely enjoyed himself being ‘normal’, as he could peacefully walk all by himself, pulling out his phone and record whatever and whenever he wanted! These are the last few days to relish for not just Stephen Curry, but the entire Team USA. A few days from now, their pivotal Olympic journey will begin.

For Stephen Curry, it’s his first experience on the biggest global stage. He has only represented Team USA at two FIBA World Cups but never had an opportunity to grace the Olympics. However, there seems to be a bit of unrest in the roster. The Hoopers have had really unnerving warmup games, cutting it too close. While players like Embiid are putting on inconsistent shows, even Steph was off the burner in their Germany game. And Steve Kerr had to go back to relying on the main man, and it wasn’t the Splash Brother.
“But at the end of this game, when the pressure was on, the ball was in LeBron James’ hand. For all these young guys, for this is Tatum or Anthony Edwards time or even Anthony Davis who’s been the MVP of this team. The ball was in LeBron James’ hands. Steve Kerr got the grease boort up and said, ‘Number 6, get us out of this embarrassment’. And he did. And I think that could be important when you’re playing the games with stakes in the coming days,” Brian Windhorst asserted.
Notably, Stephen Curry also feels the Hoopers are yet to show their best going into Paris.

Stephen Curry admits to not doing one thing properly in Team USA
Team USA is crammed with the best crop of the NBA. They have future stars, living legends, and a shared passion to bring a fifth consecutive Gold medal. Being unbeaten in their Showcase games was a positive start. However, after the close win against Germany, Stephen Curry admitted that Team USA is only scratching the surface of their best. “We haven’t played our best offensive game yet. When we lock in defensively and rebound, nobody can really beat us.”
“That’s how we’ve been coming back these last two games. Execute the details, just playing solid, hard-nosed basketball. We’ll be fine,” he admitted. When speaking of Stephen Curry alone, his prominent game was against Serbia. The transcendent shooter sank 24 points to beat Jokic and Co. sinking six from deep range too. However, in the remaining games, Curry hasn’t stayed consistent.

He averaged 12.4 points through five games, but it was far from his capabilities. He is aware that if their strategies aren’t executed well, Team USA is “beatable”. Then again, it’s tough to imagine all the acclaimed superstars having a bad day. At this point, that’s the only way to beat the Hoopers, to shut down every weapon. Do you think that’s possible?
