Nikola Jokic is a lot of things. A baller, a hippophile (someone who loves horses), and someone with a humorous personality. Above all of them, however, Jokic is a family man. Besides his wife and two children, he is also very close to his two older brothers. Therefore, it made sense for them to be there as the Serbian star celebrated an important milestone.
However, judging from the discussion about him, one brother looked like he stole the thunder from the Denver Nuggets star. Monica Geller could certainly relate!
Fans captured Strahinja attending the All-Star game as the recent weekend marked his younger brother participating for the 7 time in the annual event. The behind-the-scenes footage featured Strahinja walking around, posing alongside Nikola and his family, and escorting both his wife and Nikola’s wife, Natalija. Throughout the clip, one couldn’t help but be amazed at the 43-year-old’s size.

According to an April 2023 Sports Brief article, Strahinja is at least 7-foot tall. This makes his stature similar to that of Nikola Jokic. However, not many reports account for his overall build, which one can use to almost compare him to ‘The Mountain’ from Game of Thrones. Truly a force of nature!
Strahinja’s recent appearance indicates he seems to have put in some major work from the last time we saw him during an NBA event in April 2024. It looks like he’s training for a part in the next Rocky movie! However, there’s a legal battle hovering around for the duo.

Both Strahinja and Natalija had gotten into trouble at that time after reportedly fighting with an NBA fan during a game in Denver. Strahinja even punched the man in full view of everyone. Before long, he received a third-degree assault charge. This marked the 2nd time in 5 years that his physical actions got Strahinja placed under the purview of the law.
Back in January, the court set an official trial date to take the case forward after Strahinja pleaded not guilty. Set to take place in Los Angeles, we await the legal procedures and the case’s final judgment.
Fortunately, the former European basketball player seemed unfazed during his recent appearance. This gave the NBA community a chance to talk less about Strahinja’s past, and more about his current build.
How did NBA fans react to Nikola Jokic’s brother’s build?
One social media user went straight to a DC reference by stating “Bane and Joker in the same family”. Most of us know the whereabouts of Nikola Jokic called ‘The Joker’. However, it is not because he walks around in psychotic face makeup saying, “Why so serious?” Mike Miller gave him the nickname because he had trouble pronouncing his last name. However, now that the name is stuck as part of his legacy, it is nice for Nikola to have a ‘Bane’ at his side, too.
One individual attributed the size to the heritage by commenting “Average Balkan citizen”. Well, there is no denying the genes would have certainly contributed to the European player’s huge size. After all, even the shortest brother in the family, Nemanja, stands at 6 feet, 6 inches. According to a report by the Abilene Reporter-News, people residing in certain areas of the Balkans, especially in Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Montenegro are on average the tallest, averaging 6’ 1” in height. If anyone still does not believe it, all they need to do is stand beside the 3 Jokic brothers.
The official account of Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson’s ‘All The Smoke’ podcast also put one comment out. It stated, “I promise anyone yall don’t want smoke with big bro (crying emojis)”. People don’t need a reminder of this. Just the former player’s physical physique is enough to intimidate anyone. Furthermore, the person Strahinja allegedly got into an altercation with last year realizes this fact too.

One individual suggested Strahinja can find his footing in a new sport by writing “WWE needs to sign him”. The Serbian can certainly prove to be a tough opponent to several big names in the wrestling world. With ‘The Rock’ back in WWE now, a rival pairing between the two can make for some entertaining viewing. Personally, he looks like Braun Strowman’s twin.

Feel like the Bane reference was enough? Well, the superhero/supervillain references were not over, as one social media user wrote “Joker and Juggernaut”. Bane, Juggernaut, The Mountain. Let’s just agree. Yes, the guy is huge. When going through a list of fictional characters he can be related to, the list would probably be longer than the filing cabinet in ‘Bruce Almighty’.
Overall, the majority of reactions displayed their appreciation for Nikola Jokic’s elder brother. The worry of the upcoming trial would certainly be on Strahinja’s mind. Therefore, it is nice to know he received some positive attention during his brother’s big event.
