The Golden State witnessed a face-off between the Portland Trail Blazers and the Los Angeles Lakers on November 12. What started with an “Oh, LeBron James is down with an injury” saw a rather happy end with Davis sweeping the game. It’s an open secret that James is that one iron pillar for the Lakers. And while everybody was expecting a not-so-pleasant result, the “Fro hairstyle” of Anthony Davis did it again.
Well, the SG couldn’t keep it all in and spilled out how “The Brow” was back from the dead to snatch a stellar win. The Lakers won 116-110 at the Crypto.Com Arena and now have a two-game winning streak.

In a post-game interaction with the media, Austin Reaves was all smiles. After all, this is the first game missed by King James owing to an injury sustained on Friday night and the team won the game. However, Anthony Davis, Rui Hachimura, and Cam Reddish led the team and handled the pressure well.
Austin Reaves on AD:
“I saw the ‘fro back tonight so I knew this was gonna be a big day for him.”

The 30-point score, 13 rebounds, and 6 assists amassed by “The Brow” somehow were a “Blue-moon” event since he got the dreaded locks. But Austin Reaves had a hunch once he saw AD back with his afro hairstyle and signature headband, cooking the Blazers with his brilliant defense. Austin Reaves said, “I saw the fro back tonight, so I thought this was going to be a good day for him. It’s Anthony Davis.”
This win is the highlight of Davis’ career because, while James’ supporting cast couldn’t pull away from Portland, Davis took charge down the stretch for the Lakers.

The Bro has played nine games this season, taking into account the three games of the in-season tournament. Eight of these games have had dreaded locks, and this one had a fro. While last season he was booed for not scoring a 3-pointer with locks or braids, the trend seems to continue. AD accounted for a total of 5/14 field goals against the Suns when he had his hair up in braids while registering 10/20 FG with a fro.
With this stat, the field goal percentage has jumped from a mere 35.7% to a whopping 50% in just one game. Well, AD did what he had to keep his team afloat when the leader was ruled out until further notice. And after Davis signed the massive extension to stay with the Lakers, the time has come to justify the contract.
