Stephen Curry‘s China Tour couldn’t have been better. The Chef along with De’Aaron Fox has been traveling all around the country promoting the Curry brand whose first-ever retail store opened recently in Chengdu. Now, Steph is one of the most popular basketball players in China. So much so that city officials had to cancel one of Curry Brand’s events due to the large number of fans storming the hotel. Nevertheless, the four-time champ is having fun participating in all sorts of activities. And just recently, Steph finally tried his hand at the ping pong table.
It’s been weeks since Curry fueled the friendly competition between Anthony Edwards and the table tennis team in Paris. The two even met the squad during practice. However, fans wanted to witness a friendly table tennis game with Anthony Edwards proving himself. The Timberwolves star believed that he could at least score a point against the professionals. But in the midst of this, no one seemed to have considered watching Curry play table tennis. Well, the Chef’s indeed not a great ping-pong player.

Just recently, following the store opening, Curry and Fox played a table tennis game. As seen in the video, it’s clear that Steph is not someone who could get the hang of the game. On the bright side, Curry delivered decent services despite not being able to answer back. It will be interesting to see ANT’s reaction to the same clip, as the two might look to put in the work with the professionals one day.
If anything, Steph and Fox have been exploring Chinese culture during most of the tour, playing the national sport of the country. A few days ago, Steph made his first mooncake as the tour continued to a newer city, Shanghai. Moreover, there will also be a second store opening in Xi’an. Unfortunately, Xi’an officials canceled Steph’s arrival and the activities that were scheduled in the city due to thousands of fans storming the city streets, mainly near the expected hotel. Still, the two NBA players continue to interact with fans and even young hoopers.

The Chef faced Fox and the Kings last year in the first round of the postseason. It wasn’t easy for either of them to get past the first round as the series stretched to seven games. While Steph Curry’s Warriors came on top, Fox seized the opportunity to get back at Steph in China. After hosting a mini-camp, and training young hoopers, Steph and Fox played a friendly game. Only this time, they weren’t on the floor. Instead, the two divided all the participating players into two teams as they each chose a squad to coach.
Fox got the last laugh after his team beat Steph’s squad. Moreover, Swipa’s team won the game at the buzzer! In the end, Steph laughed it off as the two went on to continue to tour. Curry and Fox signed several autographs at the hotel as well as during all the events. There is no doubt that Stephen Curry is an icon in China. As the tour comes to an end, Curry and Fox will be heading back to training camp as the pre-season awaits.
