Anthony Edwards delivered what might be the NBA’s Dunk of The Year during tonight’s Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Utah Jazz game. Despite a slow start, Edwards turned heads in the third quarter with an outrageous play. With a clear path to the basket, he soared for a monster dunk over Jazz Center John Collins, eliciting gasps from the crowd. The entire NBA fan base and media were buzzing with praises for the 22-year-old, while the Jordan comparisons kept pouring.

Draymond Green joined that hype train and shared his thoughts on Collins’s misfortunes. “Anthony Edwards number one, uh completely baptized John Collins, uh made him fall down to the ground, Made JC grab his eye, uh like his eye was hurting,” said Green.

Interestingly, Collins officially ended up on the injured list after the dunk with a “head contusion” and left the game. “What if you never go in a game again? Your last second was that” Green implored, saying to Collins, “You can’t leave the game”. Later on the podcast, the former Defensive Player of the Year breathed a sigh of relief, stating, “He tried one like that on me before, and it didn’t work out. Thank God, all praise be to God.”

Despite executing one of the most impactful dunks of the game, Edwards put his future at risk. It was miraculous that he managed to finish the game after dislocating his finger, but relying on luck every night wasn’t sustainable. Edwards must learn to temper his athleticism to prevent serious injuries. The Timberwolves rely on Edwards as the cornerstone of their franchise, emphasizing the importance of his health.
