A massive storm swept up the NBA recently. It was a time when no one in the NBA world felt safe. It was the Luka Doncic trade. We saw how surprised Kevin Durant was as he reacted to the trade from the sidelines. Following that, it was nervy times for the 2x NBA Champ too! Multiple franchises lined up at the Phoenix Suns’ front office, looking to steal the superstar. Not to forget, the Minnesota Timberwolves were one of them. Somehow, KD weathered the storm and stood with the Suns.

Now, Anthony Edwards, who almost became Durant’s new teammate, had the best possible reaction to the trade drama! Above all, it came right after the tense debate involving the NBA Commissioner, Adam Silver. The Wolves guard has faced a fair share of backlash from Silver this season. Notably, up until January, Edwards paid $285k in fines to the league for various on-court antics. Anyway, before we go into the details, let’s check what Ant-Man had to say about his favorite player’s trade drama.

When the Warriors adamantly pursued the Suns, trying to rope in Kevin Durant once again, no one knew what happened in the background. According to Chris Haynes, the Wolves made a “last-ditch effort” to pair AE with KD. Just imagine the firepower in a team that has the Slim Reaper and Edwards. We caught a glimpse of it at the Paris Olympics. However, none of the rumors materialized. And this is what Anthony Edwards said about the crazy few days.

“That was crazy, man. I’ve seen some crazy stuff about Kevin Durant in the trade talks. That was crazy,” said Edwards with a candid smile. Moreover, he didn’t stop at that. He further added, “I was super surprised I didn’t think uh Phoenix would be trying to trade him.”

While we heard that KD declined offers that came his way, the Suns, on the other hand, were actively listening to teams approaching him. It ultimately left Durant upset as per several reports. Nevertheless, the bottom line is that the superstar survived the trade storm.

Alright now, let’s move on to the mess that Anthony Edwards found himself in.

Anthony Edwards locks horns with Adam Silver

Apart from the festivities involved in the All-Star weekend, there’s something else that’s interesting as well. We can’t find more relaxed players in the middle of the season anywhere unless it’s the All-Star weekend. Players, especially like Anthony Edwards, give out the most wacky responses at the pressers.

What’s your perspective on:

Is Anthony Edwards right to challenge Adam Silver on techs, or is he just venting frustration?

Have an interesting take?

And we exactly saw that last night. Reporter Rachel Nichols was on a roll. She asked players what they’d do if they were the NBA Commissioner. She also pointed out that many players had issues with the officiating and asked Adam Silver what he’d do if he was a player. It’s important to note that Edwards was slightly specific about what he wanted to do if he was commissioner. Before we head there, let’s find out what Silver would do if he was a player.

The 62-year-old said, I would stop complaining about officiating.” Yes, it’s plain and simple. Looks like the big man is fed up with the constant argument surrounding the officiating. We are pretty sure that it won’t end anytime soon. Anyway, now, let’s see how Edwards flared up his beef with the commissioner. Edwards said, “That’s a good question. One rule that I would change if I was the commissioner. The techs. I’ll change the techs like I’ll let people be more into the game.”

We all know where it came from. The refs have slapped 13 techs on Edwards this season, which were also escalated to fines on five occasions. So, it’s needless to say why the rising superstar wants techs to be ripped off from the rule book. What do you make of it? Let us know in the comments.
