Anthony Edwards and the Wolves are in a hard battle with the Phoenix Suns. With Devin Booker and Kevin Durant joining forces to take the young Timberwolves, it looks like they are in a bit of a fix. Karl-Anthony Towns is outshining the young Michael Jordan – Edwards, tonight. This is, of course, not the first you will have heard of the “Ant-Man” compared to MJ.

There might be many instances that come to your mind, but the one that stuck was Pat Bev’s comments in March 2022. Interestingly, Rashad Philips had compared the 22-year-old to Jordan just a month before Beverley. But tonight is not the little MJ’s night.

1. Edwards and the Timberwolves still have a long way to go to be the “big” team of the West

The Timberwolves have definitely risen in the ranks as one of the best up-and-coming teams of the West. With the “Ant” taking charge, Minnesota has seen nothing but success. Landing a win over the Warriors in the very controversial game of yesterday, they have proven their mettle.

Having to shoulder the team by himself, KAT had been having a hard time. But with Edwards coming forward to share the burden, Towns seems to be back to himself. There is no need to go much farther back. The Golden State matchup saw him with a season-high 33 points, 11 rebounds (a double-double there), and five three-point field goals.

This is not enough to put them up top as the Big West team, but they are on the right path. If they maintain this consistency and discipline, it won’t be long before the Minnesota Timberwolves will emerge as a dangerous competitor. The wolves are a pack animal, after all.

2. When the Suns’ Big 3 finally comes together, they’ll be undefeatable – in regular and postseason

The Suns’ acquisition of Durant this season was to build a super team. With Booker and Durant wreaking havoc, Beal’s addition will only intensify their dominance. The three superstars of the NBA bring heavy offensive firepower to the team.

KD is a four-time NBA scoring champion. With his size, skill, and shooting accuracy, there aren’t many defenders who can outlast him in a faceoff. He is also well-known for his clutch performances. Combine that with his ability to score from anywhere on the court and you get a deadly viper on the court.

“Microwave” Devin Booker complements both Beal and Durant in his consistency and shot creation. His ability for mid-range jumpers and 3-pointers will have the opponents scrambling to defend him.?Bradley Beal, on the other hand, brings versatility to the Suns.

A prolific sharpshooter, Beal can create scoring opportunities for his teammates when it seems like there is none to be made. The picture seems much clearer now, doesn’t it?

3. If KD, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal stay healthy, Phoenix should be ‘ready to rise’ by February

This one is a no-brainer. Having only Kevin Durant to take the lead initially was a tough call for everyone. For the fans and NBA world. But injuries, like time, wait for no man. They get you when you least expect it and for an aggressive sport like basketball, the injury rate is not low.

Booker was available for the start of the season but had to sit out due to a calf injury. Beal is getting his strength back after a lower back injury stopped him from making his debut with the new team. But he was present for the last three games, so it won’t be that long before he will be up and running.
